The Montrose-raised actress, originally from Chicago, has indeed carved an indelible mark in the annals of soap opera history.
After leaving the ivy-covered walls of her high school, Michelle’s journey began in the world of modeling. Yet, the allure of the silver screen was irresistible. By the early 1990s, she delved into acting, securing a role in the Fox soap opera, “Tribes.” Though the show had a brief run, it became evident that Michelle was destined for more significant narratives.
1994 became a pivotal year for Michelle as she graced “The Young and the Restless” as Phyllis Summers. What was meant to be a fleeting appearance became a staple, courtesy of her unparalleled talent. However, the call of other ventures led her to exit the series in 1997. But as every soap fan knows, goodbyes are seldom forever. After dabbling in primetime with “Pacific Palisades” and a few other roles, Michelle returned to the embrace of “Y&R” in 2000.
