NATHAN WEST HAS A NIECE HE DOESN’T KNOW ABOUT AND HER FATHER IS HIS VERY OWN EVIL BROTHER!

TL;DR: Nathan West came back from the dead on General Hospital and nobody has told him that while he was gone, Maxie Jones had a daughter with Peter August. His half-brother. The son of Cesar Faison, the man who destroyed Nathan’s life. That little girl is Nathan’s niece and the fallout from this truth could end everything.

Nathan West Doesn’t Know About Bailey Louise Jones

Nathan West has been back in Port Charles for six months. He’s reconnected with his son James. He’s navigated the impossible situation of returning from the dead to find his wife built a life with another man. He’s dealt with discovering that Britt Westbourne is also alive and that their father Cesar Faison may have been involved in both of their resurrections. He has absorbed shock after shock after shock on General Hospital.

But nobody has told him about Bailey Louise.

Nobody has sat Nathan down and said that while he was dead, Maxie Jones fell in love with Peter August. Nobody has explained that Peter proposed to Maxie, that they planned a wedding, that Maxie got pregnant with his child. Nobody has told Nathan that Peter August, the other son of Cesar Faison, fathered a baby girl with the woman Nathan still loves. And absolutely nobody has told him that Bailey Louise Jones is his niece.

How do you think Nathan West will react when he finds out about Bailey Louise? Send your prediction to our editor Amber at [email protected]!

The Faison Blood Runs Through That Little Girl

Follow the bloodline and try not to scream. Cesar Faison fathered Nathan West with Liesl Obrecht. Cesar Faison also fathered Peter August with Alex Devane. That makes Nathan and Peter half-brothers. Peter then fathered Bailey Louise with Maxie. Which means Bailey Louise carries Faison blood. The same Faison blood that runs through Nathan. The same Faison whose evil destroyed Nathan’s life, ripped him away from his wife and son, and sent him to a grave that was eventually found empty.

Nathan is going to look at that child and see his father’s legacy staring back at him. He is going to have to reconcile the fact that the woman he loves created a life with the brother he never wanted. A brother who inherited every ounce of Faison’s darkness. A brother who framed innocent people, tried to commit murder, kidnapped his own daughter, and terrorized Maxie until Felicia Scorpio killed him to protect her. Nathan’s mother-in-law killed his half-brother to save his wife. Let that sentence sit in your chest for a moment.

Will Nathan Want to Raise His Niece or Run From Her?

This is where it gets impossibly complicated. Bailey Louise is being raised by Maxie and Damian Spinelli. She lives in that house alongside James, Nathan’s son, and Georgie, Spinelli’s daughter. If Nathan reunites with Maxie, he wouldn’t just be stepping into a life with the woman he loves and the son he missed. He would be stepping into a home where his half-brother’s daughter sleeps down the hall.

Can Nathan love that child? Can he look at Bailey Louise and see an innocent little girl who didn’t choose her father? Or will he see Peter? Will he see Faison? Will every smile on her face remind him of the bloodline that took everything from him? And if he can’t separate the child from her father’s sins, what does that mean for any future with Maxie?

Because Maxie will never apologize for Bailey Louise. That little girl was born in the woods, wasn’t breathing when she arrived, was hidden with Brook Lynn Quartermaine to protect her from Peter, and was kidnapped by her own father before being rescued. Maxie fought for that child with everything she had. She will not let anyone, not even the love of her life back from the dead, make her daughter feel like a reminder of something terrible.

This Is the Conversation That Changes Everything

Nathan is standing at his own headstone when Maxie finds him at the end of the Feb 19 episode. That cemetery is where Maxie used to talk to Nathan when he was dead. It is where she went to grieve, to process, to say the things she couldn’t say to anyone else. And now she is standing in that same cemetery with the man she buried, and somewhere between the silence and the snow, one of them is going to have to say the name Peter August out loud.

When Nathan finds out about Bailey Louise, he will have to decide who he is. Is he the man who can love his brother’s child because she is part of Maxie? Or is he the man who cannot escape Faison’s shadow no matter how far he runs from that grave? The answer to that question will determine whether Nathan West gets his family back or loses Maxie Jones for good. And this time, death won’t be the thing that separates them. Blood will.

Do you think Nathan West can accept Bailey Louise or will the Faison connection destroy his chance with Maxie Jones? Get loud about it and share this with every GH fan you know!
