She’d only moments earlier left Jack Brennan a frantic message asking if Willow Tait was right that they no longer had any leverage against Drew, and while she was unlocking his wheelchair, he spoke. “What’s wrong, Nina? Get some bad news?” She recovered fast: “Bad for me. Worse for you.” Then she pushed him straight into the water.

Who’s Actually Close Enough to Save Him

Nobody else was at that dock when it happened, which is the real problem. Jason Morgan and Rocco Falconeri are back at the main house in the solarium, not the boathouse. Willow is in her office, about to be intercepted by Harrison Chase. Nobody is positioned to notice Drew’s disappearance for a while, and that gap is exactly what could let Nina Reeves get away with this, at least for a moment.

If anyone stumbles onto this in time, Jason is the most likely candidate given how close he already is to the property, and Rocco isn’t far behind him. It won’t be quick, though. Drew’s chair went into open water with nobody watching, and every minute that passes without someone checking on him makes an actual rescue less likely, not more. A dock that empty at exactly the wrong moment is the kind of detail Nina couldn’t have planned even if she’d wanted to.

The Bigger Problem Is What Drew Already Said

Drew talking at all is the detail that should scare Nina more than the lake does. He wasn’t only conscious, he was lucid enough to taunt her by name, which means his silence has never actually been guaranteed the way Willow and Nina have been telling themselves it was. That gap between what they assumed and what’s actually true is the real danger here.

If he survives this and keeps that ability, every secret the two of them have been protecting becomes a live grenade. Willow’s blackmail leverage over the syringe, Nina Reeves’s own hand in injecting him in the first place, all of it depends on Drew staying quiet, and he already proved he isn’t going to.

Two Women, One Body of Water, No Way Back

Willow was already trying to run with the kids before any of this happened, and now she’s about to learn her mother didn’t wait around for a plan. Whatever Nina tells her when this comes out, there’s no version of this conversation that ends with Willow trusting her mother’s judgment again. A woman already halfway out the door with her children doesn’t need one more reason to leave, and her mother handed her the biggest one yet.
