The two returns give the Ashford corner of the GH canvas a real jolt of energy at once, and both arrive with ties to one of the families currently sitting at the center of the action.

Robert Gossett has a history with the show that runs long and warm. He first appeared as Marshall Ashford, the father of Curtis Ashford, back in November 2021, and was put on contract the following spring. His work in the role earned him back-to-back Daytime Emmy wins for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2023 and 2024. In 2024 he shifted to recurring status, with Marshall heading out on the road to tour as a musician. Since then, Robert Gossett has circled back several times for Marshall to check in on his family, most recently late last year. His upcoming visit lands at one of the most loaded moments his son has faced in ages.

Marshall Walks Into a Storm Around Curtis

Marshall’s timing could not be more dramatic. Curtis is on the verge of welcoming a new child with his estranged wife, Portia, even as the two of them remain tangled in heartache. He also recently landed in handcuffs after losing his composure with Isaiah, Portia’s lover, in a confrontation that has now spilled into legal territory.

The bad blood traces back to a terrible accident. Curtis suspects Isaiah was the driver who caused a distracted Jordan to crash her car into a guardrail, leaving her with significant injuries to her face. When the two men collided in a heated argument, Curtis threw a punch. Isaiah, a surgeon, suffered damage to his hand that may keep him from operating again, and he intends to take Curtis to court. A father like Marshall stepping back into that storm at exactly this juncture promises real heart and real stakes, and it gives Curtis a steadying presence right when his world is tilting.

Quinn Reopens His PCU Connection

Jequan Jackson brings his own slice of recent GH history back into play. His Quinn made a Port Charles debut in late 2024 in a recurring capacity, introduced as a football-playing PCU teammate and pal of Kai. Jequan Jackson had actually come to the producers’ attention while auditioning for the role of Kai, the part that ultimately went to Jens Austin Astrup. Rather than walk away empty-handed, the actor was brought aboard in a different role, and Quinn quickly slotted into the younger PCU corner of the canvas.

That first run played out through early 2025. In those final episodes, which followed a career-ending football injury for Kai, Quinn lashed out at Trina, blaming her for Kai’s split focus and pointing the finger at her for the injury. He left town with that resentment unresolved, which is exactly why his comeback carries a charge. Bringing Quinn back into the mix reopens a thread fans have wondered about since he last walked off the canvas, and it folds him back into a friend group that has weathered plenty since.

Returning faces are a long tradition on daytime, where the canvas is always richest when its history walks back through the door.
