According to an exclusive report from TV Insider, Lennon Appel has been cast in the newly created role of Hudson, a business executive whose ties on the canvas are being kept under wraps by the writers. The actor makes his official daytime debut on July 30.
For Appel, this marks his very first foray into daytime television. He told the outlet, “Working on GH has been nothing short of an incredible, fast-paced experience,” and described the cast and crew as having gone out of their way to welcome him into the GH machine from day one.

Who Is Troy Lennon Appel?
Before landing in Port Charles, Troy Lennon Appel built his foundation in theater. He discovered acting during his sophomore year of high school after a teacher encouraged him to give the craft a try, though he did not pursue it seriously for another four years. His first real performance came in a play at Muhlenberg College, which opened the door to additional stage opportunities.
Appel earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Communications, and during his college years he was also a two-time conference qualifier in the discus on the Varsity Track and Field team. His recent on-screen credits include the films Finding Master Right and Menflix, plus an appearance in The Goldbergs star Hayley Orrantia’s music video, Find Yourself Somebody.
The Frank Valentini Stamp of Approval
Executive Producer Frank Valentini gave the casting his official stamp of approval, describing Troy as a terrific guy and noting that fans will be curious to watch how Hudson slots into the canvas. That EP endorsement signals the role has been built for real story runway, not a quick guest stop.
