Out of the Mouths of Babes! Wiley Corinthos Heard a Word He Should Not Have Heard and Repeated It at the Worst Possible Moment on General Hospital
Wiley Corinthos ran into the fostering interview on GH and asked what a hooker is in front of the social worker. The Quartermaines outdid themselves.

WILEY CORINTHOS ASKED THE WORST QUESTION AT THE WORST POSSIBLE MOMENT
TL;DR: Brook Lynn Quartermaine and Chase were minutes away from getting approved to foster baby Phoebe on General Hospital. The nursery was ready. The social worker was impressed. Everything was going perfectly. And then Wiley Corinthos ran into the foyer and asked Brook Lynn what a hooker is because Olivia Quartermaine called Jacinda one during an argument with Michael in the kitchen. In front of the social worker. During the interview. The Quartermaines cannot get out of their own way and we need to talk about it.
Everything Was Going So Well
Brook Lynn Quartermaine and Chase had done everything right. They met with the social worker from Children and Family Services. Chase even knew the social worker, Sarah, from a police case. They showed her the nursery. They answered every question. They promised they understood the temporary nature of fostering and they were prepared to give Phoebe back when the time came.
The social worker was satisfied. She wanted to speak with other family members who would have contact with the baby. Everything was on track. The Quartermaine mansion, for one shining moment, was functioning like a household that had its act together.
And then Wiley Corinthos ran into the foyer and detonated the entire thing with one word.
The Quartermaines cannot go five minutes without sabotaging their own plans. Do you have a favorite Quartermaine self-destruction moment? Send it to [email protected] and we just might feature it!
Olivia Started It and Wiley Finished It
Here is how it happened, because the chain of events deserves to be appreciated in its full catastrophic glory.
Olivia Quartermaine apologized to Michael Corinthos for how the family came down on him about Jacinda. That was the apology. Then she immediately doubled down and said Jacinda was not an appropriate partner. Michael defended his relationship. The argument escalated. Olivia got heated. And Olivia Quartermaine, in the kitchen of a house where small children live and a fostering interview was actively taking place down the hall, called Jacinda a hooker.
Out loud. In a house with children present. During an active social services interview.
Wiley Corinthos heard it. Wiley did not understand it. Wiley did what any child does when they hear a word they do not recognize. He went and asked a trusted adult.
That trusted adult happened to be Brook Lynn Quartermaine. Who happened to be standing next to the social worker. Who happened to be evaluating whether this family was a suitable environment for a baby.
“What’s a hooker?”
Brook Lynn tried to hide her panic. We imagine she did not succeed.
The Quartermaines Are Their Own Worst Enemy and It Is Honestly Incredible
Let us take a moment to appreciate the Quartermaine family’s truly unmatched ability to torpedo their own success at the exact moment it matters most.
Brook Lynn and Chase spent weeks preparing for this interview. They set up a nursery. They coordinated their schedules. They poured their hearts into proving they were ready. Chase was on his best behavior. Brook Lynn was polished, prepared, and radiating responsible parent energy. Tracy Quartermaine had given her blessing. The nursery was perfect. The social worker was nodding along. Everything was aligned.
And all it took was Olivia losing her temper in the kitchen and one curious Wiley Corinthos with excellent hearing to blow the whole thing up.
This is the Quartermaine mansion. This is a family that has more money, more influence, and more resources than almost anyone in Port Charles, and they cannot manage to keep their volume below a level that reaches impressionable ears during a scheduled home visit from social services. Tracy warned Brook Lynn that fostering Phoebe could end in heartbreak. She did not warn her that the heartbreak might come from her own family’s inability to keep it together for one afternoon.
Michael told Olivia that Jacinda had been a bright spot after a rough year. Olivia said she was happy for him if he was happy. They even made dinner plans. The argument ended well. But the damage was already sprinting down the hallway in sneakers, and Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s face when Wiley Corinthos opened his mouth is going to live in our heads for a very long time.
The Quartermaines have survived corporate wars, kidnappings, and decades of family betrayals. They may not survive a nine year old with a vocabulary question.
Do you think Brook Lynn and Chase still get approved after Wiley’s question? And is Olivia ever going to learn to lower her voice in a house full of children? Sound off below because the Quartermaines have outdone themselves and we cannot stop laughing!
