TL;DR: William deVry addressed the swirling rumors that he’s headed back to General Hospital as Julian Jerome, shooting them down directly in a new Instagram Reel — while revealing exactly what he’s got lined up instead.

Julian Jerome Is Staying Dead

William deVry is done letting the rumor mill run wild. After chatter about a possible Julian Jerome comeback started circulating again, the actor posted a Reel putting the speculation to bed himself: “I am not coming back to General Hospital.” Given how many times this same rumor has resurfaced in the nearly six years since he left, it’s easy to see why he wanted to say it plainly instead of letting it linger.

It’s not exactly a shock storyline-wise. Julian’s exit in 2020 was that rare soap death that actually stuck, complete with a bomb, a footbridge shootout with Sonny Corinthos, and a body bag on camera. Still, his fingerprints never fully left Port Charles, given how close he remains, even in memory, to sister Ava Jerome, son Lucas Jones, and ex-wife Alexis Davis.

He’s Not Slowing Down, Just Not In Port Charles

William deVry isn’t disappearing, he’s just booked elsewhere. He teased a run of upcoming projects, including a thriller streaming later this month and a Lifetime movie arriving in October, plus a guest spot on a network drama alongside a fellow soap alum come November. Between the three, he’s clearly staying plenty busy without Julian Jerome anywhere on the call sheet.
