WILLOW TAIT WAITED UNTIL DREW CAIN WAS COMPLETELY ALONE AND HELPLESS IN HER HOUSE THEN CONFESSED EVERYTHING

TL;DR: Willow Tait brought Drew Cain home from the hospital on Wednesday’s General Hospital, waited until everyone left the room, walked up to her paralyzed husband, and told him to his face that she was the one who shot him โ€” and he cannot do a single thing about it.

She Made Sure He Could Hear Her First

Willow Tait is not playing games. She is playing chess with a man who cannot move a single piece.

On Wednesday’sย General Hospital, Drew Cain was finally discharged from the hospital and transported home โ€” into the care of the wife who put him there in the first place. Elizabeth Baldwin made sure Willow understood what she was getting into by taking over Drew’s care, but Willow insisted she was “the only person who could give him what he needed right now.”

She was not wrong. She is just terrifying.

Once the medical attendant got Drew settled in the bedroom and left, Willow Tait did not fuss with his pillows. She did not adjust his blankets. She stalked up to her husband โ€” the man trapped in locked-in syndrome who can hear and understand everything but can only communicate by blinking โ€” and asked him one question: “Can you hear me?”

Drew blinked once. Yes.

And then Willow Tait told him the truth: she was the one who shot him.

Drew Is Trapped With His Attempted Murderer

Let us be very clear about the horror of this situation. Drew Cain is fully conscious. He can see. He can hear. He understands every single word being said to him. But he cannot speak. He cannot move. He cannot call for help. He cannot even write a note or send a text or blink out a message in Morse code fast enough for anyone to catch it.

And now he knows the woman who has complete control over his care, his medication, his visitors, and his daily existence is the same woman who put a bullet in his back.

Willow shot Drew. She was acquitted thanks to double jeopardy. Then she injected him with something that caused a massive stroke, leaving him locked inside his own body. She married him. She moved into his house. She took over his life. And now she has brought him home, sent everyone away, and made sure he knows exactly who holds all the power.

This is not caregiving. This is captivity.

Trina Called It โ€” Right Before Willow Walked In

The timing of Willow’s arrival home could not have been more chilling. Trina Robinson was at Drew’s house with Kai Taylor, who has been overseeing the delivery of medical supplies for Drew’s care. Trina wanted Kai to resign from his internship immediately โ€” she called the entire situation suspicious and said Willow was dangerous.

“We don’t know what else she’s capable of,” Trina cried out.

And then Willow walked through the door.

Trina left out the front, not wanting to be in the way. Kai stayed to help bring Drew in from the back. And the moment everyone cleared out, Willow made her move.

Kai Is the Only Person Watching

There is one small sliver of hope in this nightmare: Kai Taylor has decided to stay. Despite Trina begging him to quit, Kai feels like he has to stick around to make sure Drew is safe from Willow. He and Trina even went to Alexis Davis after leaving Drew’s house, and Alexis urged them to come to her immediately if they saw anything suspicious.

But Kai was not in that bedroom when Willow confessed. He did not hear what she said. And Drew cannot tell him.

Drew Cain is lying in his own home, staring at the ceiling, knowing his wife tried to kill him โ€” twice โ€” and there is not a single thing he can do about it. He cannot scream. He cannot run. He cannot even cry for help.

All he can do is blink.

What Is Willow’s Endgame?

Why would Willow confess? She has already gotten away with everything. She has custody visitation with Wiley and Amelia. She planted evidence on Michael’s keychain just yesterday. She is playing the devoted wife to perfection in front of everyone who matters.

So why tell Drew the truth?

Because she wanted him to know. She wanted him to lie there, helpless, and understand that she won. She shot him and walked free. She gave him a stroke and married him anyway. She has taken his house, his money, his freedom, and now she has taken the last thing he had left โ€” the hope that maybe, just maybe, someone would figure it out.

Drew knows. And Drew cannot tell a soul.

Welcome home, Drew.
