CARTER WALTON WANTS DAPHNE TO RAISE THE BABY HE MADE WITH STEFFY

TL;DR: Carter Walton is begging a pregnant Steffy Forrester Finnegan to pose as Daphne’s egg donor and surrogate on the Wednesday, September 16 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. The baby is already his, Daphne has no idea, and Finn is blaming himself for tears he did not cause.

The Cliff House Pitch That Changes Everything

Bold and the Beautiful spoilers: Steffy pregnant, Carter cornered, Daphne the last to know. The Wednesday, September 16 episode is scheduled to push it further. On Tuesday, Carter Walton walked into the cliff house and begged Steffy Forrester Finnegan to become Daphne Rose Walton‘s egg donor and surrogate. He called it “a way out for all of them.” The part he left unsaid makes it the most twisted pitch of the year: Steffy is already carrying his child.

Rewind to August 17. A drunk Steffy and a drunk Carter ended up on the couch in the Forrester Creations CEO office and woke up calling it a terrible mistake. Ridge Forrester nearly caught them arguing about it on August 21. They fed him a cover story, he bought it, and Steffy agreed to bury the whole thing. Then two pregnancy tests on September 10 and 11 dug it right back up.

On Monday, Steffy told Carter, “It’s yours. It’s yours, Carter!” She explained that she and John “Finn” Finnegan had not been intimate in some time because of his hospital hours. No paternity test has aired, and this show loves flipping fathers late, so file that away. The week-ahead previews agree on one thing: Steffy walked into Tuesday ready to confess to Finn.

Daphne Asked for a Surrogate She Knows and Trusts

Here is the cruel timing. On Tuesday, Daphne told Ridge she wished the egg donor and surrogate could be someone she knew and trusted instead of a stranger. Ridge, who has no idea what his daughter is hiding, gave her a pep talk about getting that baby by any means necessary. Carter Walton heard his wife’s wish, ran out of the showroom vowing to make it come true, and went straight to Steffy with the ugliest fix imaginable. Our full two-week spoiler rundown shows how fast this arc has moved since Daphne accepted her diagnosis on September 8.

The pitch is simple and monstrous. Steffy carries the baby she is already carrying, they tell Daphne it came from a donor egg and a surrogate, and Daphne raises the child her husband made while cheating on her. Carter framed it as saving two marriages at once. Wednesday’s official teaser says only that Carter makes a passionate plea and that Finn struggles to ease Steffy’s pain, so the answer is scheduled, not aired. Spoiler chatter says Steffy caves, and Friday’s “caught off guard” tease hints the plan grows teeth fast.

Is Steffy Pregnant With Carter’s Baby on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Yes, as far as the show has told us. Steffy took two positive tests and told Carter on September 14 that the baby is his, not Finn’s. Nobody has run a lab test on screen, the kind of loose thread these writers love to pull later. For now, take Steffy at her word.

Now follow the bloodline, because nobody else has. Steffy is the daughter of Ridge Forrester and Taylor Hayes. If Carter Walton is the father, the baby Daphne would raise as a stranger’s gift is Ridge and Taylor’s biological grandchild and a half-sibling to Kelly and Hayes. Ridge spent Tuesday cheering Daphne toward a surrogate with no clue the surrogate would be his own daughter. Taylor, already asking questions about Steffy on Tuesday, would be the grandmother nobody told.

Finn Blames Himself for the Wrong Thing

The gut punch of Wednesday’s episode is Finn. He ran out on a life or death call seconds before Steffy could tell him the truth, and now he is agonizing over her pain, convinced he caused it. He thinks this is about Monaco and Sheila. It is about a couch and a baby with Carter Walton’s DNA. Reading between the lines of Friday’s tease, Finn turning to Taylor may hand the one person already suspicious the last piece she needs.

My gut says Steffy takes the deal, hates herself for it, and lasts three weeks before the guilt cracks her open. Don’t be surprised if Daphne, who is scheduled to be stunned by Carter’s suggestion on Thursday, comes around and calls the arrangement generous. That is the trap. The kinder Daphne is, the more devastating the truth becomes when it lands, and on this show it always lands.

Carter’s Baby Deal Sinks Both Marriages Instead of Saving Them

Carter thinks he is the hero here, and he is not. Asking the woman he slept with to hand his wife their baby, wrapped in a lie about a stranger, is a second betrayal stacked on the first. Daphne cried in his arms in July because she could not give him a child. She deserves better than one she was tricked into.

Steffy is the more interesting question. She wanted to confess, and one phone call is the only reason Finn does not already know. Pick a side, because this one splits rooms: is Carter the villain, or is Steffy about to become one? Argue it out with us on our Facebook page.

QUICK ANSWERS

Did Carter and Steffy sleep together on The Bold and the Beautiful? Yes. On the August 17, 2026 episode, a drunk Steffy and a drunk Carter had sex on the couch in the Forrester Creations CEO office. They woke up together the next morning and called it a terrible mistake. Ridge nearly caught them arguing about it on August 21, but they fed him a cover story.

Does Finn know Steffy is pregnant? Not as of the September 15 episode. Steffy took two positive home tests on September 10 and 11 and told only Carter. She started to confess to Finn at the cliff house on Monday and Tuesday, but he ran out on a life or death hospital call before she could finish.

What is wrong with Daphne on The Bold and the Beautiful? Finn’s adoptive mother Li diagnosed Daphne with premature ovarian insufficiency on the July 14 episode, meaning Daphne cannot conceive or carry a child herself. She accepted the diagnosis on September 8 and is now pursuing an egg donor and a surrogate, ideally someone she already knows and trusts.
