Bold and the Beautiful Recap October 8: Electra Forrester Erupts and Brands Dylan a Traitor

ELECTRA FORRESTER OVERHEARS ZENDE THANK DYLAN FOR LOGAN

TL;DR: Electra Forrester listened in as Zende thanked Dylan for getting him to Logan, then stormed in on Eric and Ridge and called Dylan a back-stabbing traitor. Logan has made Zende an official offer, and he still hasn’t decided.

Zende’s Thank You Sinks Dylan

The Bold and the Beautiful recap October 8 is the day a thank you turned into a weapon. Electra Forrester listened in at Forrester while Zende Forrester Dominguez told Melissa “Miss” Dylan that Logan had officially offered him a position and that he still hasn’t decided. Then he thanked Dylan for convincing him to go hear Hope and Katie out. “If it wasn’t for you, I’d never have gone over to Logan,” he said. Electra fumed.

She didn’t keep it to herself for long. Electra stormed into the main office and told Eric Forrester and Ridge Forrester, “You guys are not going to believe this.” Dylan has no integrity and is up to her old tricks, she said, and went behind their backs to steer Zende into a meeting with Katie and Hope, where Logan offered him a job. Her closing word on Dylan: “back-stabbing traitor!” The episode ended before either man answered.

It came one day after Zende made RJ admit who calls the shots on the Electra line. Our B&B spoilers for the next two weeks already had Zende on the spot Friday, and now Forrester knows exactly what to ask him.

Eric and Ridge Were Already Against Will

The episode opened with Eric and Ridge on the main office sofa, which was getting a steam clean, cursing Katie’s start-up. Eric said Forrester is up against the whole Spencer operation and that he was glad Zende is helping RJ and Electra. He suggested a teaser to get the Electra line going, and Ridge approved it. Yes, that sofa got scrubbed one day after Wednesday’s couch drama. If I know these writers, that was no accident.

Then Dylan walked in with files. Eric noted she is dating Will and told her the Forresters don’t approve of him, especially now that they’re at war with the Spencers. Dylan said Will is a good guy. Eric insisted they don’t mean to interfere, then complained that Will’s mother will do whatever it takes to hurt Forrester.

Here is the part nobody saw coming. Our Thursday preview of Electra’s eavesdrop left open who Dylan was talking to, and the answer was Zende himself. The “traitor” line from this week’s promo finally aired too, just not to Dylan’s face. Electra said it to the same two men who had told Dylan earlier in the episode that they don’t approve of her boyfriend.

Did Electra Get Dylan Fired on Bold and the Beautiful?

Not on Thursday. Electra Forrester made her case, and the episode cut away before Eric or Ridge said a word. She has wanted Dylan out of Forrester since the summer, when she told RJ in August that she wanted Dylan fired. This is the first time she has walked into that office with something that isn’t about Will. My gut tells me Ridge cares more about what Zende does next than about what Dylan did last week.

Zende Reminds Electra Whose Line It Is

Earlier, Zende was reading Katie’s text when Electra came into the design office, excited about their line. “It’s your line, Electra,” he told her. She called it a team effort, said she was reassured he’s helping design the collection, and talked about transforming the industry. When Zende noted that most people work for years before they get their own line, Electra Forrester told him he is an integral part of the family. “We’re all Forresters,” she said.

That is the sting. The woman who called him family in that scene is the same one who later told Eric and Ridge he got poached. Zende still hasn’t answered Logan, and on Friday he gets put on the spot.

Will Tells Katie Dylan Earned It

Over at Logan, Katie Logan Spencer texted Zende a follow-up promising he would be respected and valued there. Katie and Will Spencer agreed the next collection has to be big. Hope Logan Spencer said Zende is like a brother to her and she wants to earn back his trust. Will told her she may get her wish, then reminded his mother that Dylan came through for them. “That’s worth something,” he said.

Later, Will asked whether Katie will be nice to Dylan from now on. Katie admitted she was happy Dylan helped but surprised it worked. They talked over what would happen if the Forresters learned Katie approached Zende, and Hope just wanted to know which company he picks. Reading between the lines, Katie’s worst case played out across town before the scene was even over.

Electra Caught Dylan Red-Handed, Thanks to Zende

Electra Forrester finally has what she has hunted since August: proof that Dylan worked against Forrester. The cruel part is that Dylan only did it because Katie demanded it as the price of accepting her, and Katie still hasn’t paid up.
