Taylor Sees the Crack Before Anyone Names It
Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for the week of September 21 put Taylor Hayes exactly where a psychiatrist should never be: right next to the lie, with no file on it. Monday she warns John “Finn” Finnegan to put his marriage first. She has watched Steffy Forrester Finnegan unravel since Monaco, she grilled her over bagels last week and got nothing, and on Friday it was Finn who came to her for comfort. Her radar is on. It just has nothing to lock onto yet.
What Taylor cannot see is the whole story, and the whole story is that Steffy is pregnant. She and Carter Walton spent one drunk night on the Forrester office couch back in August, after Monaco cracked her marriage and after Daphne Rose Walton walked out on him. Two tests came back positive this month, and Steffy has told Carter the baby is his. Not one word of that has reached Finn, Taylor, or Ridge Forrester.
Carter’s answer to all of it aired Friday, when he stood in Steffy’s living room and told his wife that Steffy had agreed to be their egg donor and surrogate. Steffy had refused him twice, and she stood there and said nothing while Daphne lit up. The day by day spoiler grid has Steffy caving to that hug on Monday, and it is not hard to see why. Daphne calls her a best friend, so saying no meant crushing her on the spot.

Finn Gets a Story on Tuesday and Fights It on Wednesday
Tuesday is when Steffy shocks Finn. Circulating chatter has him begging her that same day, but the official beats split it: Tuesday he hears it and goes to Ridge for advice, Wednesday he asks her not to go through with the surrogacy. Read that carefully, because Finn is told about a favor for Carter and Daphne. He is not told his wife is already carrying, and he is not told whose baby she thinks it is. He spends his best speech of the week arguing against a procedure that will never be scheduled.
Ridge is no better off. He knows Daphne wants a surrogate, he gave her a pep talk about it two weeks ago, and he nearly walked in on Carter and Steffy fighting about that night in August before buying their excuse. So when Finn asks him what a husband should do, Ridge answers a question nobody has described to him truthfully. Does Finn Know Steffy Is Pregnant on The Bold and the Beautiful?
No. As of Friday’s episode Finn knows nothing about the pregnancy, nothing about the night with Carter, and nothing about the paternity claim. What he learns Tuesday is the cover story: Steffy wants to help Daphne have a baby. Every adult who weighs in this week, Taylor Hayes on Monday and Ridge on Tuesday, is advising him on a problem that does not exist while the real one sits under their noses.
That is the detail circulating coverage keeps flattening. Finn’s Wednesday plea gets written up as a husband refusing to share his wife’s body with another couple, and it is bigger and sadder than that. He is pleading for a version of his marriage that Steffy already traded away in August. The surrogacy is not the threat. The surrogacy is the disguise.
Two Doctors, One Psychiatrist, and Nobody Counting Weeks
Here is what should keep Carter up at night. Finn is a physician. Li Finnegan is the doctor walking Daphne through her options. Taylor Hayes has spent a career reading faces for a living and raised the woman doing the lying. Carter has built a cover story that has to survive three trained people, and the first of them is already telling her son-in-law to guard his marriage.
My gut tells me Taylor Hayes gets there first, and not through a confession. She gets there through a date. A surrogacy has paperwork, and a pregnancy that began on an office couch in August does not match any of it. If I know these writers, Finn’s Wednesday plea is what finally makes Steffy sick enough to talk. Do not be surprised if the mother in the room hears it before the husband does.

The Wrong Argument Still Costs Steffy Her Marriage
Finn is going to lose this fight either way. If Steffy holds the line, he loses to a surrogacy he hates. If she cracks, he loses to a truth that is worse than anything he imagined on Wednesday. There is no version of this week where a good man arguing in good faith comes out ahead, and that is the cruelest thing Carter has done so far.
