The Black Book of Doom

This is the same man who married Sheila Carter, a woman who went on to shoot both Taylor Hayes and Brooke Loganwhile wearing his ring. Eric Forrester is also the man who married Donna Logan while his ex-wife Stephanie was still alive and scheming to get him back, then divorced Donna and remarried Stephanie, then eventually ended up with Quinn Fuller, a woman his entire family showed up to boycott his own wedding over.

The Receipts Keep Coming

Quinn wasn’t a minor scandal either. She kidnapped Liam Spencer before Eric ever married her, and his family disapproved so loudly they refused to attend the ceremony. Eric married her anyway. He collapsed from the stress of defending that choice to the same relatives he’s now asking Electra to prioritize over her own heart.

Then there’s Sally Spectra, one of Eric’s most calculated moves of all. He romanced her and proposed marriage, and had her convinced it was real. It wasn’t. The whole thing was a trap to steal his own stolen fashion designs back from her, and once Sally found out the truth, she was left heartbroken by a man who used love as a business strategy.

The Pattern Is Impossible to Ignore

Eric Forrester has spent decades choosing dangerous, difficult, family-disapproved, or flat-out manufactured love over and over, and somehow he’s the one standing in a doorway lecturing a twenty-something about picking family over romance. He isn’t protecting Electra from a mistake he’s never made. He’s protecting her from the exact mistake he’s made more than once, which either makes him the last person qualified to give that lecture, or the only person who actually knows firsthand how badly it can end.
