The Bold and the Beautiful
B&B Spicy Hot Take! Hope Logan and Brooke Logan Were Counting Their Chickens Before Ridge Forrester Said a Single Word
Hope Logan and Brooke Logan were planning Steffy’s exit interview while Steffy was dismantling Ridge in his office. They got too comfortable.

HOPE LOGAN AND BROOKE LOGAN GOT TOO COMFORTABLE TOO FAST
TL;DR: While Ridge Forrester was at Forrester Creations failing to stand up to his daughter, Hope Logan and Brooke Logan were across town on The Bold and the Beautiful practically planning Steffy Forrester’s farewell party. They counted their chickens. They cracked jokes. They forgot the chickens have not actually hatched. Sorry ladies. Sit down.
Let Us Set the Scene
Hope Logan and Brooke Logan spent the day on The Bold and the Beautiful doing the most cosmically premature thing a person can do in fashion or in life. They celebrated a win that has not yet happened. They cracked jokes about how their rival was about to lose her mind. They literally workshopped the phrase “name an ‘un’ she will probably be it” together in Brooke’s living room.
Meanwhile, across town at Forrester Creations, Steffy Forrester was in her father’s office calmly explaining to Ridge Forrester why his wife is wrong, his daughter has earned every inch of her chair, and a Co-CEO arrangement is fundamentally different from the Eric and Stephanie partnership Brooke has been romanticizing.
The chickens have not hatched. The press release has not gone out. The signature is not on paper. And Hope and Brooke were already practically planning Steffy’s exit interview.
Sorry ladies. We have notes.

The Audacity Catalogued
Let us be specific about what Hope and Brooke actually said.
Hope told her mother she has “no sympathy” for Steffy. Hope predicted Steffy would become “unhinged.” Hope said the phrase “name an ‘un’ she will probably be it” with the relaxed confidence of a woman who has already mentally moved into Steffy’s office and started rearranging the furniture. Hope Logan has been at Forrester long enough to know exactly how Steffy fights when she is cornered. Hope said it anyway.
Brooke matched her daughter beat for beat. Brooke said Steffy “has been acting like the queen” but Brooke is “the only real queen.” Brooke joked, that “too many queens have been beheaded” before adding “she just wants to be a Co-CEO.” Beheaded. Brooke made a beheading joke while plotting to dethrone her stepdaughter.
And the two of them, together, declared with full confidence that Ridge would come through for them. Today. By end of business.
Sure.
What Steffy Was Actually Doing While They Gloated
Here’s what Hope and Brooke do not know yet.
Steffy looked her father in the eye and asked him if he loves Brooke more than her. Then she answered the question for him by reminding him he has always forced Brooke on her, that losing out to Brooke over and over hurts, and that this time, for once, he needs to choose his daughter over his wife. She brought receipts. She named Eric Forrester and Stephanie Forrester in the same breath Brooke had used to pitch her own coronation and pointed out, cleanly, that Eric was the CEO and Stephanie was the matriarch in his ear. Not Co-CEO. Not equal billing. A completely different arrangement than the one Brooke is selling.
She reminded Ridge that she has every business relationship keeping that company rolling. She told him that if he wants to give Brooke a title, fine, but make it a title other than hers.
Ridge babbled about Brooke being an icon and went quiet. Steffy walked him into a corner he has not walked out of yet. And the only reason Hope and Brooke do not know this is because they were busy at home making beheading jokes.
So, What Now?
Sorry Hope Logan. Sorry Brooke. The chickens have not hatched. And the woman you spent the morning laughing at has spent the same morning quietly turning your husband and father into a man who cannot meet his own daughter’s eyes.
Steffy Forrester does not lose quietly. Steffy does not lose at all when there is a Logan in the room celebrating her loss before it happens. Hope Logan should know this. Brooke Logan absolutely knows this. The smart play was to wait until the signature was on paper before cracking jokes.
Hope and Brooke got way too comfortable.
