Let us recap what Steffy actually said, because every line was a receipt. She is the one with the business relationships. She is the one who got Forrester Creations back from Bill when the company was taken from them. And Steffy Forrester, the one who actually pays the bills and runs the empire, was told her stepmother gets to wear her crown for a quote unquote blip in time.

Brooke comes in, Brooke gets the man, Brooke gets the title, Brooke gets the spotlight, and then Brooke loses it spectacularly while the actual Forresters clean up the mess. Steffy has watched this cycle her entire life. She has earned the right to refuse to participate.

Here is where the math gets fun. Steffy Forrester is one of the largest individual shareholders of Forrester Creations alongside Eric. Ridge owns 20 percent. If Steffy decides she is done being demoted for her father’s romantic schedule, she has the votes to make that decision permanent.

Ridge will probably still pick Brooke. He always does. And when this whole thing burns down by sweeps, every fan with a long memory will be there to remind him that his daughter warned him in plain English on a Wednesday afternoon.
