What’s Really Happening with Ivy and Liam?
Ivy recently popped back into town and the chemistry with Liam was still there. They shared drinks, reminisced about old times, and yes — they even kissed! While Ivy initially left after Steffy interrupted their moment, sources hint she’s not done with Liam yet.
Could this mean Ivy is planning a more permanent return? Given Carter Walton‘s recent attempts to rush Hope into an elopement (which Ridge Forrester reportedly interrupted), the timing couldn’t be more perfect for maximum drama!
Does Hope Really Want Liam Back?
Here’s where it gets juicy. Hope literally JUST turned Liam down when he tried to reconcile. She’s supposedly happy with Carter.

The SECOND another woman shows interest in Liam, suddenly he becomes irresistible again! It’s classic Hope behavior — she doesn’t want him until someone else does. Remember when she did this exact same thing with Thomas Forrester? The woman has a pattern!

Don’t be surprised if this plays out EXACTLY like we’ve seen before:
- Ivy makes her move on Liam while he’s vulnerable
- Hope sees them together and suddenly realizes she “made a mistake”
- Carter gets dumped faster than you can say “consolation prize”
- Hope and Liam reunite… temporarily
But wait, there’s more!
Given Steffy‘s marriage to Finn is facing serious trouble over the Luna/Sheila/Li drama, you KNOW she’ll come sniffing around Liam the moment things go south. This triangle is about to become a square… or pentagon… honestly, who’s even counting anymore?

Poor Carter Walton. The man deserves SO much better than being Hope‘s backup plan!

If Hope loses both Carter AND Liam, don’t be shocked if she suddenly remembers her feelings for Thomas. The woman clearly can’t handle seeing any of her exes with other people. It’s like she’s collecting them!
Could this mean we’re heading for an even MORE complicated love polygon? At this rate, they’ll need a flowchart to keep track of who wants who!
What’s Really Going On Here?
Reading between the lines, this feels like the writers are setting up for the same tired storyline we’ve watched play out a million times. Liam bounces between women, Hope only wants what she can’t have, and Steffy swoops in whenever her current relationship hits a snag.
The most frustrating part? Carter is actually a GOOD guy who treats Hope well, but apparently that’s boring in soap land. No, we need the drama of the waffle king and his inability to commit to literally anyone!
If I know these writers (and after decades of watching, I think I do), here’s what’s REALLY going to happen:
Hope will lose Carter while chasing Liam. Ivy will get Liam temporarily. Steffy will want him when Finn disappoints her. And eventually, we’ll be right back where we started with everyone miserable and alone.
