B&B’s Matthew Atkinson Is a Girl Dad

Since 2018, Matthew Atkinson has built one of daytime’s most tangled family trees playing Thomas Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. His own real-life family grew a little too this week. Atkinson’s wife, Brytnee, gave birth to the couple’s second child this week, a healthy baby girl who joins her big brother, born back in November 2024.

Brytnee broke the news to fans herself, sharing a close-up photo of the newborn wrapped in a heart-print outfit and gripping her mom’s finger. Two words summed up the moment for her: “Pure and divine.” It’s the kind of quiet, unguarded family photo that says more than any lengthy caption could.

A Family Built One Milestone at a Time

This baby girl has actually been part of the Atkinson family’s story for months. Back in April, Matthew let fans in on the news with a simple, playful update: “Baby Girl Atkinson loading.” As Brytnee’s due date got closer, he also took a moment on social media to call her a “rock star,” a small but sweet nod to everything she was carrying, literally and otherwise, in those final weeks.
