B&B HYPOCRITE ALERT: Ridge Forrester Calls for Will’s Arrest, Then Throws the First Punch

Ridge Picks a Fight He Can’t Win With Words

Ridge Forrester marched into Spencer Publications with one demand: Will needs to stay away from RJ, or Ridge is having him arrested. Bill wasn’t interested in taking orders about his own son, and told Ridge so flatly. Ridge escalated fast, ordering Bill to keep Katie away from Forrester too, accusing the Logans of stealing Eric and Hope right out from under him.

Bill wasn’t backing down an inch. He accused Ridge of making wild accusations and told him he knows nothing about fashion, urging him to pull up his big boy pants and admit Forrester is tired and old while Logan is vital and new. Ridge Forrester kept pacing, insisting Will is out of control, but Bill reminded him their sons are grown men, not toddlers Ridge gets to kiss better. Bill brought up how the Spencers took Eric in when the Forresters were ready to ship him off to a nursing home, and the insults only escalated from there.

They spent the next several minutes trashing each other’s companies, Ridge calling Bill cheap and underhanded, Bill firing back that he’s smart and courageous. Bill literally mimed blowing a trumpet and crowned himself the new king of fashion, bragging that he turned his father’s old business into a global powerhouse while Ridge sat there falling behind.

The Punch That Proves the Point

Then Ridge Forrester made his real threat: he’s having Will arrested. Bill called that a coward’s move, plain and simple, and told Ridge the only way anyone actually wins is to fight, not run to the police. He mocked Ridge and RJ both, accusing them of knowing nothing about how winning actually works.

That was the line that broke him. Ridge Forrester threw a punch, hit Bill, and stormed out without another word. Bill laughed it off. “Got him,” he said, like landing a hit was exactly what he’d been trying to provoke the entire time.

Ridge Just Proved Bill’s Entire Point

Let’s sit with that for a second. Ridge spent this entire conversation demanding Will face criminal consequences for hitting RJ. Then, in the very same conversation, he hit someone himself. Ridge didn’t get provoked into throwing a punch by accident. He walked in ready for a fight, lost the argument with his words, and used his fists instead, the exact behavior he wants Will locked up for.

This is not a case of Ridge losing his temper under extraordinary pressure. Bill insulted his company and his parenting, sure, but Bill never laid a hand on him. Ridge escalated a verbal fight into a physical one entirely on his own, then walked out like he’d made his point. If Will deserves an arrest for what he did to RJ, Ridge deserves the exact same standard applied to himself.

We are calling this hypocrisy for exactly what it is. Ridge cannot demand accountability from one man while excusing himself from that same accountability the moment he loses an argument. Either violence has consequences in this family, or it doesn’t, and Ridge proved which one he actually believes.

Bill, for his part, is not exactly the picture of restraint either. He goaded Ridge into that punch on purpose, laughed about it afterward, and clearly walked away feeling like he’d won something. Nobody in this fight is the hero. But only one of them stormed into that office demanding an arrest, and then handed Bill every bit of proof he’d need to demand the same thing right back.

What happens next matters. If Bill decides to press the issue, Ridge could find himself facing the exact consequences he tried to force onto Will, and there would be nothing hypocritical about it this time. Ridge picked this fight, escalated it with his own hands, and now has to live with what that could mean for his own family’s reputation, not RJ’s alone.
