The Bold and the Beautiful
Bold and the Beautiful Has Officially Created the Most SPOILED Monster in L.A. History and His Name Is RJ Forrester
RJ Forrester has been handed a fashion empire and a Forrester girlfriend without earning either, and we are saying the quiet part loud.

RJ FORRESTER IS THE MOST SPOILED YOUNG ADULT IN B&B HISTORY
TL;DR: RJ Forrester has spent the last several months on The Bold and the Beautiful lighting candles, scheming against Will Spencer, and being handed an empire he did not earn while his mother actively recruits a Forrester named Electra to be his girlfriend. The boy has not worked a single full day. The boy has not made a single hard decision. And the boy is being groomed for the throne by two of the most powerful parents in Los Angeles. Sit down, RJ. Sit all the way down.
Mommy and Daddy Have Cleared the Path
RJ Forrester does not have a job. RJ Forrester has a title. There is a difference, and The Bold and the Beautiful keeps refusing to acknowledge it. The boy strolls into Forrester Creations every morning, drops himself onto whatever piece of furniture is closest, and waits for someone to tell him what crisis his daddy needs him to weigh in on. He has opinions. He has feelings. He has a lot of pointed commentary about the love lives of women he grew up across the dinner table from. What he does not have is a portfolio, a sketch, a contract, or a single piece of finished work that anyone outside the building has paid money for.
Ridge Forrester gave him an entire lane at the family business and the only resume RJ submitted was being born. Brooke Logan Forrester treats him like a wounded prince every time someone gently suggests he might benefit from being told no for the first time in his life. Eric Forrester built that company from nothing and his grandson cannot be bothered to learn the difference between a press preview and a press release. Bill Spencer recently said out loud that Will Spencer would always be second banana to RJ at Forrester, and the most depressing part of that sentence is that it is undeniably true. Will is doing the actual work. RJ is the one being groomed for the corner office.

The Cousin Situation Nobody Will Address
Let us pause for a moment of clarity. RJ Forrester and Electra Forrester share a last name. They share a family. They share holiday photos and Forrester Creations name plates. They are also, technically, third cousins through the Forrester family tree. The show would like us to forget all of that because Ridge is the biological son of Massimo Marone, which means RJ has no Forrester blood at all, which means the writers can shove him toward Electra without anyone calling the geneticists. Cute loophole. Still ick.
Imagine being so committed to keeping the kingdom inside the castle that you actively encourage your son to date the woman whose name matches yours on the company letterhead. Imagine Brooke Logan Forrester functioning as a one-woman matchmaking service trying to fling her son into the arms of a woman whose business cards say Forrester. Imagine the optics. Imagine the family photo. Now imagine that this is happening in front of God and everyone at Forrester Creations and not a single person in that building is uncomfortable about it.
The show keeps reminding us that Ridge is a Marone in the bloodline like that closes the case. It does not. The two of them share a last name, a workplace, a mailing address, and a family Christmas card list. The writers can keep pointing at the paternity test from 1992. The audience can still see what they are looking at.
The Lemon Bar Seduction Tour
While Will Spencer was at the beach house actually living his life, RJ was at Forrester lighting candles. Real candles. In a showroom. With Pam’s lemon bars on the table. He pulled out his phone, set up a “secret surprise” for “someone very special,” and waited for Electra to walk in like he was the lead in a movie he wrote, directed, and produced about himself.
Reader. He is hosting candlelight dinners in his father’s place of business. He is using cousin Pam’s baked goods as part of a seduction strategy. He is doing all of this on company time at a fashion house his great-uncle built and his father runs. The audacity is breathtaking. The entitlement is breathtaking. The willingness to tell Electra she “should have the man she deserves” and then point at himself in the same sentence with a straight face is a level of self-regard that can only be cultivated by parents who never told their child the word no.
Will Spencer Has Been Doing the Actual Work
Here is the part that hurts. Will Spencer has been showing up at Forrester Creations every day, learning the business, eating the criticism, and trying to build something with his own two hands. He let Melissa Dylan stay at the beach house for completely innocent reasons and got punished for it. He tried to resign from Forrester to make peace and Steffy talked him into staying. He sits outside at night thinking about his life while RJ Forrester is two miles away lighting candles for the woman Will loves.
Will is the son of Bill Spencer and Katie Logan, and he is being treated like a side character at the company that wants to swallow him. Meanwhile RJ, the boy who has done none of the heavy lifting, is being positioned as the next big thing because his mother decided his romantic life needed to align with the family corporate strategy. The Bold and the Beautiful keeps writing this like it is romantic. It is not romantic. It is a coddled boy being handed a love story he did not earn while the man who actually loves the woman in question is being framed as the obstacle.
The Verdict Nobody at Forrester Wants to Hear
RJ Forrester has accomplished less in his time on the show than Hope Logan did in her first six months at the company. He has produced less than Steffy did before she could legally drink. He has been catered to, designed for, and matched up with eligible women named Forrester at every turn, and he has the nerve to act like Electra owes him a relationship because he made her dinner one time. RJ Forrester is not a hero. He is not a romantic lead. He is a family business mascot in expensive shoes, and The Bold and the Beautiful keeps trying to convince us this is a love story when it is actually a cautionary tale about what happens when two glamorous parents raise a son to believe the world owes him a Forrester wife and a corner office.
Sit down, RJ.
