The Bold and the Beautiful
B&B’s Steffy Forrester Is Done Lying, And Carter Walton Looks Like He’s Watching His Own Funeral
Steffy Forrester is ready to confess, Carter Walton looks horrified, and a DNA test could save or wreck two Bold and the Beautiful marriages.
STEFFY FORRESTER’S CONFESSION COULD DETONATE TWO MARRIAGES AND ONE BABY
TL;DR: Steffy Forrester is finally ready to tell Daphne the truth in next week’s B&B spoilers, Carter is horrified, and a DNA test could either patch the damage or blow the whole thing wide open.

The Lie Finally Has A Pulse
Steffy Forrester has run out of places to hide, and Carter Walton keeps handing her a bigger shovel. In Friday’s episode he marched her into the Forrester office, put on his proudest-husband face, and told Daphne Rose the day they’d been dreaming of had arrived. Steffy, for her part, forced a smile while Daphne stared in shock at a miracle built entirely on a lie.
Steffy’s conscience is the only one clocking in for work. She keeps telling Carter that coming clean would at least let her breathe, and he keeps answering that the truth would flatten two families and every child in them. He thinks the confession burns everything down. She thinks the lie does. They’re both right, which is exactly why she looks so sick.
Finn is the last person to learn a secret that’s about him. He left for his conference believing the surrogacy idea died the moment he frowned at it, and he’s been showering his wife with doting devotion ever since, which somehow makes it worse. Everyone at Forrester is already gushing about the “remarkable woman” who will carry Carter’s baby, with zero idea she’s family.

Next Week Has Steffy Cracking Wide Open
Two weeks of being talked in circles is plenty, and the circle finally snaps in the Forrester main office. Steffy is ready to tell Daphne that what she and Carter did was wrong, and Carter reacts like a man watching a car roll toward a cliff, blurting her name before she can say more. She won’t be shushed. Daphne, she insists, deserves to know. Daphne, per the preview, doesn’t look happy either, and a woman whose husband has gone white as a sheet has every right to feel the floor tilt.
Confession Or Cover Story?
The slipperiest possibility is that this isn’t a full confession at all. Steffy says “wrong,” but nobody has defined the word yet. If Carter is quick on his feet, he’ll claim the sin was rushing the fertilization without their spouses’ blessing, a lie small enough to survive a hug and a good cry. Steffy Forrester would then be left holding a half-truth, with the real one still growing in her belly. Daphne looks unhappy in the preview, not devastated, which fits a partial truth better than a bombshell.

The DNA Test Nobody Wants To Take
A paternity test is the only thing that can settle this mess, and it cuts two ways. Steffy Forrester has played this game before, back when a baby with two possible fathers and a doctored test result rewrote her entire life. If Finn’s name turns up on the report this time, the nightmare shrinks into an ugly scare and a lot of apologizing. If it’s Carter’s, two marriages spiral straight into wreckage no flower arrangement can fix, and a child gets born into the middle of it. Soap fans know never to rule out a twist, and Steffy has earned one.
Finn Can Forgive, But Daphne Has Nothing To Stand On
Finn is the one man in Los Angeles with practice at this. He forgave Steffy once before, when she slept with her ex-husband and couldn’t say whose baby she was carrying, so a second pardon is at least imaginable, even if this one costs him far more. Daphne is another story. She hugged Steffy, called her a sister, and arrived with a bag of baby clothes for a child she believes is a gift. Her husband and her best friend didn’t only betray her, they planned her nursery while hiding the math. Steffy Forrester can recover from plenty, but Daphne forgiving the woman who may be carrying her husband’s baby is a mountain nobody has mapped. Poor Daphne, poor Finn, poor everyone.
Meanwhile, the family detectives are barking up the wrong tree. Taylor Hayes and Finn have spent two weeks blaming Monaco and the villain with nine toes for Steffy’s haunted look, and for once, that villain is innocent.
Which twist would hurt the most? Tell us in the comments below, we’re dying to hear it!

Last Call For The Truth
Whatever Steffy says in that office, somebody’s life changes before the credits roll. Does the lie die in front of everyone, or does Carter get one more chance to rehearse it? Either way, those baby clothes are about to look very different.
