The Bold and the Beautiful
LET THE TESTS BEGIN! B&B’s Steffy Forrester Can Lie To Her Husband, But Can She Lie To A Doppler?
Finn and Li have a doppler and blood work, and Steffy Forrester has a secret to hide, so can she talk her way past the tests this time?
WILL THE DOPPLER AND BLOOD WORK EXPOSE STEFFY FORRESTER?
Steffy Forrester, Carter and Daphne marched into Finn’s office on B&B, and now Finn and Li have a doppler, blood work and a lot of questions a secret pregnancy can’t answer.

Finn Said The Quiet Part Out Loud And Got Treated Like The Dramatic One
Finn is the only person in that hospital office who said something true, and everyone responded by patting his arm. He shouted that his wife could be pregnant by another man, Carter Walton, and he was talking about an egg. He had no idea he was reading tomorrow’s headline out loud. Steffy Forrester has built her whole story on one hope: that everybody keeps fighting about the procedure and nobody asks a single question about the baby.
Notice how hard the room works to keep this a debate about consent. Finn asked Carter how he thought it was okay to use his wife’s egg and her body without a conversation, which is a fair question, and Daphne Rose swept in to call it a gift. She’s so overwhelmed with gratitude that she can’t see the row of red flags standing right behind her husband. Carter, meanwhile, spent the morning insisting he and Steffy have gone too far to turn back and will be telling this lie for the rest of their lives. That’s a very long rest of their lives for two people who can’t last a nine-month pregnancy without panting.
Li Finnegan is the one most likely to ruin everyone’s afternoon. She walked in babbling about immunotherapy, and within minutes she was asking how on earth they had time to pick an egg donor. That isn’t a mother’s question. It’s a doctor’s question about dates, and dates are the one thing a lie like this can’t survive. Then she insisted on staying for the confrontation and shot Steffy a look that could curdle a surrogacy contract.

A Doppler Doesn’t Care How Loving The Plan Sounds
Here’s the trouble with a plan built entirely out of good intentions: the machines in that hospital don’t read intentions. A doppler listens and blood work counts, and neither one cares that Carter promised the baby would be nurtured by love. Back in September, Steffy admitted she was already pregnant with Carter’s child, yet the procedure everyone is screaming about wasn’t announced until October. Carter even blurted out that she was pregnant before anything had been confirmed, and Daphne had to correct him. Will the doppler and blood work tell the truth that Steffy and Carter can’t cover?
The spoilers say the digging is coming. Friday has Finn and Li investigating Steffy Forrester’s pregnancy, and advance photos show Li giving Steffy a checkup. Is Li checking on her daughter-in-law, or checking her story? Is it possible a doctor with her instincts spots a due date that arrives much too early for the tale being told? A good doctor trusts a chartover a good story every time.

Soap Labs Have A Long History Of Misbehaving
Medical tests don’t lie, except on soaps, where a swapped file or a conveniently smudged result has saved more secrets than anyone can count (cue the mildly evil laugh). So is Carter desperate enough to tamper with the evidence? He poured booze into his coffee the moment Daphne started gushing about Steffy as their surrogate, so his judgment isn’t exactly pristine. Steffy Forrester, on the other hand, said she couldn’t imagine doing this for nine months, never mind forging a lab report. Imagine the two of them whispering in a stairwell while Daphne’s bag of baby clothes sits waiting.
Then again, this may never reach a lab table at all. Finn and Li are already furious, and one wrong answer at a checkup could do the damage without a single machine. Daphne will be standing right in the middle of it, still thanking everyone, which makes the fallout even crueler.

Every Secret Has A Due Date
Here’s where we land: Steffy Forrester can charm her husband, repeat the story as often as she likes and lean on Carter’s pep talks, but a doppler has never once been moved by a speech. If this goes the way medical tests usually go, the truth arrives right on schedule, and Finn will have to ask the question he already answered by accident.
