Carter Walton Just Made A Decision That Isn’t His To Make
Steffy Forrester walked into that living room to come clean, and she walked out engaged to a lie instead. The second she started to say Daphne’s name and the word “truth” in the same sentence, Carter Walton cut her off and announced, on her behalf, that she was turning their “hurt and disappointment into something beautiful.” Daphne Rose heard “gift.” What actually happened was a hostage negotiation with better lighting.
That’s not devotion, that’s damage control with a bow on it. A man who genuinely believed in Steffy’s selflessness would let her finish a sentence. Carter didn’t. He filled every silence, blurted out that her eggs were already frozen before she’d said yes to anything, and steamrolled straight past the moment Daphne asked the one question that should have stopped the whole scene cold: has she told Finn?
Steffy never got to answer that either. She hedged, she braced, she started to say “there’s something I have to tell you,” and Carter talked over her again. A woman calmly agreeing to donate her body doesn’t need her best friend’s husband finishing her thoughts for her. A woman drowning does.

Steffy Forrester Is Out Of Doors, And She Knows It
Here’s the corner Carter just backed her into: keep pretending this is a favor and hand her own baby to her best friend in eight months, or blow up two marriages by admitting the baby’s already hers, or find a third door nobody’s mentioned yet, and do it fast, before Daphne starts picking out nursery colors for a child that already has a heartbeat. There is no version where Steffy stalls forever. Frozen eggs and a due date don’t wait for a guilty conscience to catch up.
Meanwhile, the people closest to her are already circling the wrong culprit. Finn told Taylor Hayes he’ll never forgive himself for what happened in Monaco, convinced his wife’s distance is guilt over him, not evidence against her. Taylor’s maternal radar is going off for real, she can feel something’s wrong, she just keeps aiming it at Sheila Carter instead of her own daughter’s stomach. Every reassurance Finn gives Taylor about staying loyal is a countdown clock neither of them realizes they’re setting.
Once Finn finds out this isn’t guilt, it’s a paternity question with his name on one side of it and Carter’s on the other, “I’ll never forgive myself” is going to mean something very different. More B&B coverage like this is only going to get juicier from here.

Somebody Has To Say The Quiet Part Out Loud
Daphne walked out of that cliff house believing she just got handed a miracle. Steffy walked out having agreed to nothing except “I’ll consider it,” which Carter is already treating as a signed contract. The longer that gap between what was actually said and what everyone thinks was said stays open, the worse this ends for absolutely everyone standing in that room.
