ADAM NEWMAN IS AT THE MONTECITO AND ED DELINE IS ALREADY WATCHING

TL;DR: The Young and the Restless sent Nick and Adam Newman to Las Vegas to hunt down Matt Clark and the production details are giving devoted fans a lot to work with. Riza got somewhere in fifteen minutes that no human being has ever gotten to in fifteen minutes in the history of the Las Vegas Strip. The hotel room looks remarkably familiar. We have a theory about exactly which casino hotel they are staying in, and Ed Deline is not going to be happy about any of it.

Let Us Start With the Fifteen Minutes

Nick Newman and Adam Newman are in Las Vegas on a mission, and the city is already not cooperating with the timeline.

When Adam got in touch with Riza, she told him she would be there in fifteen minutes. Fifteen minutes. In Las Vegas. On the Strip.

We need everyone who has ever set foot in this city to take a moment.

Fifteen minutes is not enough time to get from one end of a casino floor to the other end of that same casino floor. Fifteen minutes on the Las Vegas Strip means you have moved approximately one hotel entrance in any direction while being offered three timeshares, two show tickets, and a free breakfast that is definitely not free. Fifteen minutes in Las Vegas traffic means you have not moved at all. You are still exactly where you started, just significantly more aware of how many people are also not moving.

Riza arrived. She was on time. We are choosing to believe she has access to resources that the Genoa City Police Department could only dream about and moving on.

The Hotel Room That Looks Remarkably Familiar

Here is the second detail that devoted fans have already clocked and cannot unsee.

The hotel room where Adam Newman is currently conducting his Las Vegas operation looks almost identical to the hotel room where Adam and Chelsea Lawson had a very significant evening together in Boston. Same layout. Same energy. Same general vibe of a room that is about to witness a decision that will have consequences back in Genoa City.

The set looks identical to the Boston room. We noticed. Y&R fans always notice.

We are also saying that Adam Newman is currently in that room with Riza, who has already pulled a gun on him and kissed him in the same storyline beat, and the Boston parallels are doing a lot of heavy lifting right now.

Chelsea is back in Genoa City. She has no idea, but the room remembers everything.

The Montecito Theory

Here is where this gets truly fun.

What if Nick and Adam Newman are not staying at just any Las Vegas casino hotel? What if, in the greatest crossover event in daytime television history, they have checked into the Montecito?

Picture it. The Montecito Casino Hotel. The most famous fictional property on the Las Vegas Strip. Home to some of the most creative security, the most dramatic confrontations, and the most reliably chaotic guest experiences in television history.

Ed Deline ran that casino with the precision of a former CIA operative who had seen everything and tolerated nothing. Danny McCoy kept the peace, kept the guests happy, and kept the Montecito running like a machine that somehow always ended up in the middle of something extraordinary.

Nick Newman would last approximately four minutes under Ed Deline’s watch. Ed has dealt with heads of state, international criminals, and more entitled guests than any man should have to tolerate in a single lifetime. Nick Newman showing up with his golden boy energy, his secret pill habit, and a vendetta against a man who may or may not be somewhere on the property would register on Ed’s radar before Nick cleared the lobby. Ed would have him flagged, watched, and quietly assessed within the hour. The Smarties in Nick’s pocket would not go unnoticed. Ed Deline notices everything.

Danny McCoy Has Already Noticed Riza

This brings us to the most pressing concern of the entire Las Vegas operation.

Danny McCoy is charming, magnetic, and constitutionally incapable of not noticing a compelling woman in his casino. If Riza is at the Montecito, and we are operating under the assumption that she absolutely is, Danny McCoy clocked her before she reached the front desk.

Adam Newman thinks he has a complicated situation with a mysterious woman who pulled a gun on him and then kissed him. What Adam does not know is that Danny McCoy has already introduced himself, already turned on the full Montecito welcome, and is already significantly more interesting company than a man from Genoa City who is technically in a relationship and is in Vegas on a vigilante mission.

Adam Newman better watch out. Danny McCoy did not lose many of these situations.

Nick Newman’s Candy Problem in the City That Never Sleeps

We need to talk about Nick Newman and his Smarties.

Nick has been quietly managing a pain pill situation that looks harmless from a distance and is becoming significantly less harmless up close. Back in Genoa City, the pills were being popped discreetly on the Crimson Lights patio before difficult conversations. Manageable. Containable. A problem that had not yet introduced itself to its full potential.

Las Vegas is not Genoa City.

Las Vegas is a city that operates twenty four hours a day and has never once asked anyone about their relationship with substances before offering them more of whatever they needed. The Montecito alone has a casino floor, four bars, two restaurants, and enough ambient chaos to make a man with a pill habit and a personal vendetta feel like everything is completely under control right up until it is not.

Ed Deline would notice. Ed always notices. The question is whether Nick Newman’s golden boy confidence is going to convince him that everything is fine before Ed makes a call that changes the entire operation.

Nothing in Las Vegas is ever fine. Nick Newman is about to find that out.

Do you think Nick and Adam Newman are equipped to handle Las Vegas, or is Sin City about to handle them? And if you have been to Vegas and clocked every production detail we missed, sound off below because this comment section belongs to the devoted The Young and the Restless fans!

WATCH THIS: Will this kiss be the end of Chadam?

@soapoperamag Hey, Adam, that's NOT Chelsea! Does the Newman family just not have a single man in it who can stay loyal? But, also, who can blame Adam? The woman pulled a gun on him! If that's not the best foreplay for a Newman, I don't know what is! I can't wait for you all to see this episode #YoungandtheRestless ♬ original sound – Soap Opera Magazine
