How long has the Abbott Communications launch party been in the works on Young & the Restless? It’s been a while, like since soap fans had to watch Billy Boy Abbott’s most boring podcasts long. Bill was going to launch Abbott Communications. Then, Billy & Phyllis were going to launch the party. Now, Billy Boy’s new girlfriend is going to launch Abbott Communications.
Is the 33rd time the charm for Billy’s company on paper in Genoa City on Young & the Restless?
Jack Abbott’s Money for Media Without a Story
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) still needs his brother Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) money. Even with the Abbott last name, Billy Boy still needs financial backing. If only he could have held a job at Jabot for longer than 10 minutes ever, or at Chancellor Winters, or at Chancellor, or again at Jabot, or any of the other freaking times at Jabot in between.
It’s not money for nothing & chicks for free for Billy Boy, there are always strings attached. As of late, there’s usually a redheaded girl with a mind of her own whom Billy’s brother, Jack, has previously dated, accompanied by a side of Jack’s skepticism in Billy’s most recent endgame.
Billy Boy needs a little less talk & a lot more action. He has Jack Abbott’s money & is on his second redhead to launch & still hasn’t put out a story.
Billy & Cane Play Nice, Launch @ Cane’s GCAC
Young & the Restless fans know Billy’s fake brother, Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), has been buying up property all over Genoa City, including the Genoa City Athletic Club. If the Abbott Communications launch party is finally going to happen, it needs to happen on-screen for soap opera fans to care. Where better than the Genoa City Athletic Club, or even the Neil Winters Jazz Lounge downstairs at the GCAC?
While Billy & Cane are fake brothers, sponsored by Cane, it’s unclear right now if Cane is on the up & up with Billy right now on giving him the all-clear to take over Chancellor Industries from Victor & Nikki Newman (Eric Braeden & Melody Thomas Scott). Regardless, Abbott Communications needs to launch ASAP… Or, Young & the Restless fans will be snoozing as much as they were during the Billy Abbott podcast era when he was working with his then live-in girlfriend, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
Sally & Audra’s Pending Failure to Launch
Even with Billy & Cane playing nice & being able to finally launch Abbott Communications at the Genoa City Athletic Club, new CEO Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has already finalized the guest list. Perhaps ‘already’ is the wrong word, but Sally has just been CEO for about 10 minutes, so there’s that. Anyway, while finalizing the launch party guestlist, she also brought her new BFF Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) on as her COO.
Audra Charles isn’t an Abbott family favorite right now & she knows it.
If the 33rd time is the charm & Abbott Communications finally launches, will everyone last named Abbott stand proud with their mouths shut to support Billy Abbott? Or, will this launch fail as fast as it finally begins??
