Daytime’s most boring new couples are on the verge of moving in together & soap opera fans cannot wait to see who gets & knocked up &/or who cheats first. Will Claire/Kyle on Young & the Restless or Ashley/Derek on Beyond the Gates become less boring first?
Claire/Kyle on Y&R, Set up to Cheat Either Way
Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) & Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) can be cute when everyone forgets that Claire almost killed most of the Newmans just over a year ago. Now they’re going to move in together & The Almighty Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) isn’t going to be happy, or will he? Victor already has a plan involving Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) to break up Claire & Kyle. Victor is confident in Audra’s skillset & ergo his plan. There’s no doubt that Kyle could be whisked away to cheat on Claire with Audra as he did on his ex-wife, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier), but that’s not quite what Audra has in mind. She’s more into just the tip to get one of Kyle’s toes to cross a line with Claire to please Victor Newman.
Meanwhile, as Audra continues to insert herself into Kyle’s life all over Genoa City, one of Audra’s blast-from-the-past exes, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) continues to take every opportunity to chat with Claire Newman whenever she’s waiting on Kyle at the GCAC. Holden has schooled Claire on her new favorite drink, the Vesper.
Now, if Audra can keep Kyle held up from being on time for his dates with Claire & Holden can keep being bellied up & alone at the GCAC bar, Claire or Kyle will end up going upstairs & not with one another on Young & the Restless.
Like Mother, Like Daughter: Abbott Offspring Coming Soon
It’s not likely, but Kyle Abbott might pick up on what Victor & Audra have planned for him. There are occasions when Kyle has intelligent thoughts, but they are few & far between. If only it would pop into Kyle’s head that Claire is most likely not on birth control, perhaps there can be another Abbott baby on the way. Claire’s mother, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), has two Abbott children with Billy Boy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Why not add another Newman-Abbott offspring to attempt to put Victor Newman in his place?
Ashley/Derek on BTG: Andre is Out, but What About Hayley?
Daytime television’s other most boring couple, Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) & Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin), need something to spice up their lives. Social media post after social media post, soap opera fans are questioning the point of this couple on Beyond the Gates. Photographer Andre Hamilton (Sean Freeman) tried to spice things up with Nurse Ashley without success. Soap opera fans are thankful. Andre is hot & he could not be hotter than when he is with Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) in Fairmont Crest, which still leaves Ashley & Derek as boring as the day is long.
What about Hayley Hamilton (Marquita Goings)? She & Derek had an interesting chat recently at the diner. For once, Derek wasn’t boring in an episode. It was a breath of fresh air for Beyond the Gates fans. Hayley & Bill Hamilton’s (Timon Kyle Durret) marriage obviously is not destined for the long haul. While Bill has the history to back up nominating him for most likely to cheat first, Hayley has a lot of time on her hands & is in need of attention. What if Derek & Hayley run into one another a few times at the bar? Let’s have some new & controversial sparks fly on BTG!
Ashley/Derek & Baby Making: No, Please No!
Hayley thinking she might be pregnant with a human baby was one thing, but soap opera fans do not need to see Ashley & Derek in the process of baby making, or a combination mini-me of these two. At least if Kyle knocks up Claire Newman, Victor Newman will blow & that has a chance of being entertaining. Ashley/Derek reproducing will add zero value to Beyond the Gates.
Claire/Kyle & Ashley/Derek Get Spiced Up
Please let the powers that be on CBS have Claire cheat on Kyle with Holden on Y&R, & Derek cheat on Ashley with Hayley on BTG. Soap opera fans need some spice too during the day.
