CANE ASHBY HAS TURNED CONFESSION INTO AN EXTREME SPORT ON THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS—LILY WINTERS NEEDS A SPREADSHEET!

TL;DR: Cane Ashby has turned confession into an extreme sport on The Young and the Restless. This man cannot go more than 48 hours without dropping ANOTHER bombshell on his ex-wife Lily Winters. From revealing his secret billionaire identity as Aristotle Dumas to admitting his AI program was stolen, Cane is giving Lily more plot twists than a Netflix thriller. At this point, she needs a spreadsheet just to keep track of all his secrets!

Cane’s Latest Confession: The AI Program Was Stolen

Cane Ashby made ANOTHER confession to Lily Winters on Monday, October 27, and honestly? Lily has to be EXHAUSTED. Last time they talked, Cane promised to hand over his dangerous AI program to Lily so she could destroy it—a huge step toward redemption and possibly reconciliation.

But now? Plot twist! The AI program has been STOLEN, which means Cane suddenly has nothing to give. When Cane meets with Lily, he explains what went down, but will she actually believe him? Given their history of lies, betrayals, and secret billionaire identities, Lily has PLENTY of reason to doubt everything that comes out of Cane’s mouth.

Still, Cane insists he’s telling the truth this time. Naturally, Lily wants to know who took the AI program and why. Will Cane trust her enough to share his growing suspicions about Phyllis Summers and Victor Newman? Because viewers already know that Phyllis was scheming to steal Cane’s AI weapon while he was making promises to Lily. Classic Genoa City timing!

The Aristotle Dumas Reveal: Confession Number One Million

Let’s rewind to earlier this year when Cane dropped the BIGGEST confession of all: he’s been living a double life as mysterious billionaire Aristotle Dumas for the past six years. Lily showed up at that chateau party in the south of France expecting to meet this enigmatic businessman, only to discover it was her EX-HUSBAND the whole time. Imagine THAT letdown!

Cane confessed that his father Colin Atkinson gifted him a fortune and the chateau, which allowed him to reinvent himself as Dumas and build a tech empire. He kept this massive secret from Lily and their children for YEARS, creating an elaborate double life complete with a fake identity and billions of hidden dollars.

Victor Newman already knew Cane’s true identity all along (because of course he did), which made the reveal even more humiliating. Lily was furious about the deception, demanding to know how her ex-husband became a billionaire in just six years and whether he forced their kids Mattie and Charlie to lie for him.

Cane promised he would NEVER involve their children in his schemes and swore to answer all Lily’s questions. But here’s the problem: every time Cane answers one question, three MORE secrets come tumbling out!

Why Can’t This Man Stop Confessing?

Here’s what makes Cane’s confession addiction so fascinating (and frustrating): he genuinely seems to WANT to come clean and make amends with Lily. Unlike villains who lie until they’re caught, Cane keeps voluntarily spilling his secrets. He just happens to have an ENDLESS supply of them, so his well is never empty.

It’s like watching someone empty a clown car. You think they’re done confessing, and then SURPRISE! Here comes another secret! Oh, and another one! And wait, there’s MORE! At what point does Lily just throw up her hands and say, “You know what? I’m good. Keep your secrets. I’m going to live my best life without your drama.”

The real question is whether this latest confession about the stolen AI program will be the one that finally pushes Lily over the edge. She’s given Cane chance after chance, but at some point, she has to protect herself and her kids from his constant chaos.

Phyllis Summers Strikes While Cane Confesses

The delicious irony of Cane’s latest confession is that while he’s TRYING to do the right thing by agreeing to give Lily his AI weapon, Phyllis has already swooped in and stolen it. She’s planning to use Cane’s own creation to take control of Genoa City’s legacy companies—Newman Enterprises, Chancellor, Jabot, and possibly even Winters Incorporated.

Phyllis doesn’t care about protecting anyone but herself at this point. Everyone will believe that Cane is lying about the theft if she can successfully harness the power of his AI tool and launch her attacks. This means Cane’s attempt to make amends with Lily will backfire SPECTACULARLY when it looks like he never intended to keep his promise.

Cane is bad at many things, but he’s ESPECIALLY bad at vetting his employees. His manservant Carter turned out to be a murderer, and the head of his company Arabesque wanted to work specifically with Billy Abbott and Phyllis—not exactly a vote of confidence in Cane’s leadership abilities.

Can Lily Winters Ever Trust Him Again?

Here’s the REAL question: even if Cane manages to stop Phyllis and prove he was telling the truth about the theft, can Lily ever truly trust him again? This man has secrets within secrets within secrets. Every time she thinks she knows the full story, another confession appears.

Lily asking for the AI tool so she can destroy it was actually a smart move—it showed she cares about protecting people from Cane’s dangerous technology, even if it means giving him a chance to prove himself. It was also a good first step toward personal reconciliation, which Cane definitely took as a sign that maybe, just MAYBE, Lily might open her heart to him again.

But that was BEFORE the AI program got stolen. Now Cane has to convince Lily that he’s telling the truth about something he can’t prove, while Phyllis is out there making it look like Cane never changed at all.

The Bottom Line

Cane’s confession addiction is both his greatest weakness and his only redeeming quality. He WANTS to be honest with Lily, but he’s built such an elaborate web of lies that the truth keeps unraveling in the messiest way possible. At this rate, Lily will need therapy just to process all the revelations.

The question isn’t whether Cane will make another confession—it’s WHEN. Place your bets now on what secret he’ll reveal next: Secret children? Underground bunker? Time machine? With Cane, literally nothing would surprise us at this point!
