CANE ASHBY LOOKED VICTOR NEWMAN DEAD IN THE EYE AND SAID “YOU WIN” ON MONDAY’S THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

TL;DR:ย Cane Ashby stormed into the Newman ranch, looked The Mustache dead in the face, and surrendered โ€” while Phyllis Summers ran to Billy Abbott in a panic because the empire they stole is about to slip right through their fingers on The Young and the Restless.

Victor Newman Just Won

Cane Ashby threatened to spill Victor Newman’s blood less than 24 hours ago on The Young and the Restless. He smiled after Victor left his office. He said “check, your move.” He sent Holden to LA to find Lily and the kids. He was playing chess while Victor played checkers.

Or so he thought.

Victor sent proof. A photo of Lily and the twins in a hotel room. Cane’s own PI found security footage of them being taken โ€” looking SCARED. And just like that, every ounce of Cane Ashby’s bravado evaporated.

He stormed into the Newman ranch on Monday’s episode. Adam, Victoria, and Nick were already there. Victor looked at Cane like a man who already knew the outcome of this conversation.

And Cane Ashby said it.

“You win.”

He will give Victor back Newman Enterprises. All he wants is proof that Lily and the twins have been released.

The Mustache did not even blink.

Victor Newman just got his empire back and we are SHOOK! Do you think Cane is really done or is he planning something? Write to amber@soapoperamagazine.com and tell us! You may even see your take on our site next!

Phyllis Summers Is in Full Panic Mode

The second Cane told Phyllis that Victor’s threat was real, she tried to talk him off the ledge. She told him to call Victor’s bluff. She refused to believe The Mustache would actually put Lily in danger.

Cane did not listen.

So Phyllis did what Phyllis does best โ€” she ran to someone else to clean up the mess. And that someone was Billy Abbott.

She showed up at his door while he was pouring himself a drink and talking to himself. She told him Cane is “folding like a cheap tent” and they are about to lose EVERYTHING unless they act fast.

Billy. The man she called a sidekick. The man she told nobody wants around. The man she has been mocking since this whole takeover began.

Now she needs him.

The desperation is delicious.

Victoria Newman Has Her Own Plan

While Victor was playing his long game, Victoria was cooking up a scheme of her own on Monday’s episode.

She sat with Adam and Nick at Society and told them she does not trust their father’s approach. She thinks they need to go after Cane and Phyllis LEGALLY. Her theory? Phyllis did something sloppy. There has to be a mistake somewhere in this takeover. Find it, nail Phyllis, and get her to roll over on Cane.

Nick thinks it is a bad idea. He does not want to go behind their father’s back.

But Adam raised an interesting question โ€” what exactly did Victor offer Lily to get her to cooperate with this scheme?

His guess? Chancellor.

Victoria’s face dropped. If Victor promised Lily Chancellor Industries, it would crush Nikki. It could destroy their parents’ marriage. And suddenly Victor’s victory does not look so clean.

Claire Newman Is Digging in LA

Claire and Holden are back in Los Angeles on Monday’s episode, and the tension between them is thick.

Holden finally admitted why he is really there โ€” Cane Ashby sent him to oversee the search for Lily. Claire immediately defended her grandfather and insisted Victor could not be behind any abduction.

Holden ran off to work. And Claire? Claire got a phone call from a gallery about the missing art dealer connected to Audra Charles.

She is not in LA for romance. She is in LA for answers. And Audra should be very, very nervous.

Nikki Newman Finally Saw the Proof

Nikki has been doubting Victor this entire time. She accused him of lying. She worried he pushed Cane too far. She demanded to see evidence that Lily and the kids are actually safe.

Victor showed her the photo on Monday’s episode. Lily and the twins in a hotel room. Nikki was relieved.

But Victor was hurt. He asked why she keeps doubting him. He told her he is not proud of the lengths he has had to go to. He reminded her he would never hurt Neil Winters’ daughter.

The Mustache won this round. But at what cost to his marriage?

Do you think Victor really promised Lily Chancellor on Young and the Restless? Sound off in the comments!
