Lily Winters Wants Billy Abbott Gone Before He Can Cause More Damage
Over omelets at Society, Cane Ashby admits to Lily Winters that Billy Abbott is still digging for information about a secret benefactor buried in Chancellor’s past. Lily is convinced Billy is angling for the top spot at the company, and she makes it clear that will happen over her dead body.
Cane insists he can handle Billy and wants to give this new hire a real chance to prove himself. She is not interested in patience, telling him flat out to fire Billy immediately since he is already more trouble than he is worth.
They argue it out, with Cane begging for more time and Lily Winters growing more uneasy by the second. The moment they toast to giving Billy one more shot, he walks in, buttoning his jacket like a man with nothing to hide.
Billy tells Lily Winters he respects her, right before he drops the real news: he claims Chancellor legally belongs to him, and he says he can prove it.

Jack Abbott and Kyle Abbott Debate Whether Chancellor Is Worth the War
At the Y&R Chancellor Park Cafรฉ, Billy Abbott tells Jack Abbott and Kyle Abbott that Chancellor is legally theirs, papers authenticated and everything. Jack can believe John would make that kind of deal, but he cannot understand how Katherine never finds out about it.
Jack wonders if this is a mistake, especially since it means going after Lily. Billy refuses to back down, accusing his brother of pouring cold water on their future, and insists he is ready to fight for what is rightfully his family’s.
Kyle warns they could end up tied up in court for years, but Billy is certain the contract is black and white. Jack thinks his brother is deluding himself, and Billy has a full meltdown before storming off.
Once he is gone, Kyle looks over the documents and admits they look real. Jack wishes his father could weigh in, and decides they need to loop in Ashley and Traci before anyone makes a move.
Nikki Newman Struggles With Guilt Over a Small Lie
At the ranch, Victoria Newman and Claire Newman fill Nikki Newman in on Nick being back at rehab, and Nikki admits he sounds remorseful. She is relieved he seems serious, but she is eating herself alive over telling him a small lie about their honeymoon.
Claire reminds her mother that none of them are responsible for Nick’s choices, while Nikki insists recovery demands brutal honesty and she needs to watch what she says. Victoria tells her mother they all need to give themselves a break from the blame.
Elsewhere, Adam Newman and Chelsea Lawson discuss how hard Nick’s addiction has hit Christian, who already knows more about fentanyl than his father realizes. Adam admits he sees himself in the boy and wants to look after him no matter what, while Victor Newman checks in to say Nick is doing well and asks everyone to protect his privacy from the press.
