Nick Isn’t Telling Anyone the Whole Truth
Nick Newman shows up at the ranch with a story ready to go: he told the clinic he needed extra time, and he spent the night with his son instead of checking back in. Adam Newman admits he was terrified when he couldn’t reach him, but Nick brushes past the panic and gets straight to what he actually came for.
He asks Adam to watch over Christian Newman while he’s away, keeping him off the ranch and far from Matt Clark. It’s a loaded ask considering Christian is biologically Adam’s son, raised as Nick’s, and Nick doesn’t explain why the urgency suddenly matters so much.
Adam agrees without pushing too hard, and the brothers hash out their history with pills, Vegas, and Victor before Nick Newman promises he’s headed back to treatment. The second he’s alone in his car, Nick calls his dealer, meets him at a strip mall, and pops a handful of pills without a second thought.

Mariah Copeland Isn’t Buying Matt Clark’s Redemption Tour
At Crimson Lights, Mariah Copeland finally meets Matt Clark face to face, and she’s not impressed. She tells him straight up that nobody believes his reformed act, especially not after everything he’s put her mother through, and demands he stay away from her family for good.
Matt insists he’s not leaving town this time, claiming he’s got a job and a real shot at proving he’s harmless. When Victoria Newman bursts in looking for her missing brother Nick Newman, Matt swears he had nothing to do with it, but she and Mariah aren’t in the mood to trust him either way.
Audra Charles Tries to Talk Billy Down
At Society, Audra Charles and Billy Abbott clear the air after Sally’s flight to see her family, and Billy admits he’s still stung by being kept out of the loop on the Newman Media deal. Audra insists it wasn’t her call and that she wanted to fight Victor too, but she’s determined to talk Billy into letting the feud go before it consumes him.
Billy isn’t ready to promise anything where Adam’s concerned, but the conversation gets tense fast once Matt Clark strolls through and Audra has to explain the history there too. Billy warns that if Matt’s faking his transformation, he’s more dangerous now than he ever was before.

The Secret Nick’s Family Doesn’t See Coming
Nick Newman’s family thinks he’s fighting to get back to rehab, but we watched him buy drugs in a parking lot minutes later, which tells a very different story. The scariest part is how convincing his lie was to the one person who should know better than anyone how this ends.
