NIKKI NEWMAN’S HAPPY MOMENT DOESN’T LAST

Nikki Newman’s Miracle Comes With a Catch

Nikki Newman wakes up to actual good news for once. Her sight is coming back, still blurry but real, and she can’t stop gushing about every blurred shape she can make out. Victor Newman holds her like the world is finally making sense again.

Victoria Newman calls the doctor, who wants Nikki Newman resting her eyes and wearing sunglasses outside. Nikki, riding high, wants to call her son immediately. That’s when the good mood curdles.

Victoria hesitates. Victor hesitates harder. Eventually they admit Nick is already weeks into a stint in rehab and nobody told her, because she has been “busy” recovering. Nikki Newman is floored that her own family sat on this, and once Victoria leaves, she looks at her husband and asks where they even go from here. He doesn’t have an answer.

Cane and Lily Rekindle Something at Her Place

Cane Ashby shows up at Lily’s penthouse with wine, clearly thrilled to finally get an invitation after nearly a year back in town. Over enchiladas and a group selfie their kids roast them for, the exes actually start having fun together, which is new for them.

Lily Winters admits her feelings are shifting even though she swears she’d fully moved on. One hand-touch later, they’re kissing on the couch, then a lot more than kissing, and Lily’s post-hookup verdict is that Cane talks too much and the past needs to stay in the past.

Adam Gets Cornered at the Club

Billy Abbott storms in on Adam Newman at the GCAC over how he and Chelsea strong-armed Sally out of Newman Media, and Adam has the nerve to say Billy should be thanking him. Billy warns Adam won’t hold onto the company much longer and stalks off.

Phyllis Summers swoops in next, needling Adam about his father shafting him again and bragging that she has a company and her freedom to show for her own coup. Adam snaps back that she has nothing but a family that includes a self-described sociopath, and Phyllis reminds him he is basically Genoa City’s own resident psycho before heading off for a drink of her own.

Sally Comes Clean With Billy

Sally reveals to Billy that Adam paid her off, with an NDA locking in Victor’s silence, and Billy isn’t thrilled she’s been hiding it. She pushes back that he always treats her decisions like personal attacks, he apologizes for reacting that way, and they land on okay with a kiss.
