PATTY WILLIAMS FALLS FOR THE TRAP AND CANCELS HER ESCAPE

TL;DR: Patty Williams decides to stay in Genoa City the second she hears Jack Abbott is hospitalized, walking straight into a trap. Phyllis Summers finally gets the truth out of Matt Clark about Patty’s visit, Sally Spectra recruits Adam Newman to spread the fake story, and Victor Newman starts plotting his own angle on Patty’s obsession.

Patty Williams Falls for the Trap and Cancels Her Escape

In an alley, Patty Williams curls up with her stray cat, Mr. Kitty, and tells him he always gives her perspective. She is ready to skip the country, but her call with Jack has her convinced he wants to let bygones be bygones.

Scrolling through comments about her own escape, Patty Williams smirks that the internet is full of great judges of psychotics. Then she spots the story blowing up online: Jack Abbott, rushed to the hospital. She hisses that Diane is the one who deserves to be six feet under, not him, and decides leaving town is no longer worth it while a man like that still exists.

Patty tells Mr. Kitty she cannot let Jack go and plans to take the high road by giving him one more chance, since she is convinced his “witchy wife” leads him astray. She muses that getting him alone might take a little persuading, comparing it to breaking eggs for an omelet. Right on cue, Matt Clark calls, and she giggles that she always knows they are not finished with each other.

Phyllis Summers Gets the Truth Out of Matt Clark

At the Riverbank Motel, Phyllis Summers recognizes Patty’s perfume the second she finds sunglasses that are not hers, and demands Matt Clark come clean. He admits Patty tracks him down and warns him Phyllis will eventually betray him, though he insists even a psychopath gets things right sometimes.

Phyllis refuses to accept that, certain Patty Williams is only trying to drag him back into crime as her new partner. She convinces Matt they should turn the tables and make Patty pay in a way that benefits them both, even as he worries they are playing with fire.

Meanwhile, Billy Abbott calls an ambulance as Jack Abbott fakes a heart attack at Society, with Diane Jenkins fussing over him and Kyle Abbott rushing over water. At the hospital afterward, Diane admits the stunt drags her right back to finding Jack bleeding on the floor once before, unable to shake how many times Patty keeps circling back into their lives.

Sally Spectra Spins the Story for Newman Media

At Crimson Lights, Sally Spectra asks Adam Newman for a favor tied to Patty’s escape, wanting Newman Media to lean hard into Patty’s obsession with Jack and report his hospitalization before anyone suspects it is staged. Adam happily agrees to help push the story out.

At Jabot, Billy and Kyle admit the fake collapse feels a little too real, since people in the restaurant are genuinely crying, and Sally confirms her end of the plan is already rolling. At the Newman Ranch, Victor Newman presses Adam for updates once he learns the truth, already turning over how Patty’s fixation on Jack might work in his own favor, a wrinkle this stretch of Young and the Restless spoilers definitely does not see coming.

Genoa City’s Fake Heart Attacks Always Come Back to Bite Someone

Patty Williams cancels her whole escape plan because Jack Abbott’s team stages a medical emergency well enough to fool a woman who already talks to a cat for advice. That is either genius strategy or a plan with way too many moving parts to survive contact with Patty.
