VICTOR NEWMAN REFUSES TO LET JACK ABBOTT NEAR NICK

TL;DR: Victor Newman throws Jack Abbott out of the ranch rather than let him help Nick recover. Meanwhile, Marie returns to rehab and bonds with Nick, Holden Novak gets caught between two families, and Nikki Newman finally gets to hug her son again.

Victor Newman Slams the Door on Jack Abbott

At Jabot, Nikki Newman visits Jack Abbott, who suggests they keep their distance now that his marriage to Victor Newman is mending. Nikki refuses to hear it and begs him to help save Nick, reminding Jack that he once saved her own life and there’s no one else she’d trust with her son’s sobriety. Jack agrees, insisting it has to be Nick’s choice, and Nick calls his mother directly afterward asking her to visit.

Victor Newman has a very different reaction when Jack shows up at the ranch. He assumes his rival is there to gloat about the latest Chancellor drama, but Jack Abbott insists he only wants to help Nick through his recovery. Victor sneers that this “warms the cockles” of his heart before physically showing him the door, refusing to let him anywhere near his son.

Marie Is Back, and So Is the Chemistry

At rehab, Nick Newman struggles with a puzzle when Marie Kirkland pops up to help, admitting she’s back in the program after nearly overdosing again. She confesses she’s fighting with her husband since getting her stomach pumped, and she’s decided she needs to take her sobriety hour by hour this time.

The two swap advice and gentle jabs about who’s the bigger hero, and Marie admits she’s been thinking about Nick a lot since that night. He tells her they’re both choosing to be better now, even as he privately admits he still thinks about using constantly. It’s the kind of hard-won Young and the Restless spoilers moment that actually feels earned, and his family, he says, is the only thing keeping him in the fight.

Holden Novak Gets Caught in the Middle

At Crimson Lights, Holden Novak tells his mother, Stephanie Simmons, that Billy Abbott has offered to fast-track his career at Chancellor. He’s torn over whether taking it means turning on the sister he’s still getting to know, especially since Devon Winters and Nate still barely tolerate him. Stephanie urges him to talk to Lily directly before he does anything rash.

At her penthouse, Lily Winters isn’t remotely surprised when Holden admits Billy is dangling an offer. She warns him Billy will be a terrible mentor who crashes and burns, and tells him flatly he needs to pick a side: his family, or himself. Holden agrees to have her back, at least for now.

A Little Peace for the Newmans

Nikki Newman finally gets to hug her son at rehab, telling him how worried she’s been and ordering him not to come home until he’s truly solid again. Nick admits he needed to prove to himself he could look her in the eye after everything, and she tells him to draw strength from how much his family loves him.

Elsewhere, Nate gets some good news of his own when he tells Stephanie he’s scheduled his surgery, with a real shot at returning to Memorial sooner than expected.

No Easy Wins in Genoa City

Victor Newman’s grudge against Jack Abbott costs Nick a potential ally in his own recovery, and it’s Nikki caught in the middle of a fight that isn’t really about their son at all. Between Holden’s impossible choice and Marie’s fragile second chance, Genoa City’s road to redemption looks anything but straight.
