Daniel Romalotti walks into the middle of a fight that has been going on since before he was born.
Tuesday, Daniel tries to broker a truce between Phyllis Summers and Christine Blair, and the task he has set for himselfis the kind nobody else in Genoa City would even attempt. Phyllis just got Cane arrested, her deals are getting frozen out, morale at Summer’s Conglomerate is tanking, and Cricket has been waiting decades for exactly this. Walking between these two is like trying to negotiate peace between a hurricane and a hammer.
Daniel Romalotti is doing it anyway because he loves his mother and he respects Cricket. Whatever ground he tries to find between them is going to be tiny, and both women are going to bring receipts to the table. Phyllis is going to defend everything she has done. Cricket is going to remind her of every line she has crossed. And Daniel is going to be standing in the middle hoping they leave the room without setting it on fire.
This is the storyline The Young and the Restless has been building since Cricket walked back into Genoa City, and Tuesday is the day Daniel decides somebody has to try. Michael Graziadei and Michelle Stafford on screen together is always electric, and Tuesday adds Lauralee Bell into the mix.
The question is whether Daniel walks out with a truce, a bigger war, or his mother furious at him for trying.
