DIANE JENKINS IS RACING TO THAT YACHT AND HAS NO IDEA WHAT AWAITS HER

TL;DR: Next week on The Young and the Restless, Diane Jenkins is sprinting down a hallway toward the cabin where Jack Abbott and Patty Williams are very much not just talking, Nikki Newman has already told Traci the yacht is on Lake Michigan and that Jack is not alone, and Adam Newman has made his brother Nick a promise about Matt Clark that nobody should take lightly.

Diane Is Running and She Does Not Know What She Is Running Toward

Diane Jenkins has clawed her way back from the dead, rebuilt her reputation from the ground up, and fought for her marriage with everything she has. None of that prepared her for this.

Nikki Newman tells Traci Abbott that Victor informed her Jack is being held on a yacht in the middle of Lake Michigan. Traci’s “What?” does not even begin to cover it. And then Nikki delivers the real gut punch: there is more. He is not alone. There is a woman with him.

Traci does not yet know who that woman is. Diane Jenkins does not yet know what happened on that boat. But she is already running down that hallway, yelling Jack Abbott’s name, and the door she is about to burst through leads directly to Patty Williams and her husband in a very compromising position.

Everything Diane has ever feared about Patty Williams is waiting on the other side of that door. She is sprinting toward it at full speed and she has absolutely no idea.

Adam Newman Makes His Brother a Very Dangerous Promise

Over on the Newman side of Genoa City, things are getting equally explosive. Adam Newman looks his brother Nick Newman dead in the eye and tells him that once they arrange a meeting with Matt, Nick can deal with him however he sees fit.

However he sees fit. From Adam Newman. The man who knows exactly what those words mean when a Newman says them about Matt Clark.

Nick has been pushed to his absolute limit. Matt’s threatening texts have escalated, his drug connections stretch from LA all the way to Vegas through a contact named Riza, and Nick has already made it clear more than once that he wants this to end permanently. Adam stepping up and putting his full weight behind that mission means Matt Clark’s window of survival just got significantly smaller. When the Newman brothers align on a common enemy, Genoa City has historically been a very dangerous place for that enemy to exist.

Patty Williams Is Not Done Yet

And lest anyone think Patty Williams is going to quietly disappear once Diane comes running through that door, let us remember who we are dealing with. Patty told Jack that Diane would never know. She was wrong about that. She has been wrong about a lot of things over the years and has never once let being wrong slow her down. Whatever happens when Diane Jenkins bursts into that cabin, one thing is certain: Patty Williams is not going to make it easy for anyone.
