Y&R Spoilers: Genoa City’s business elite claim to run empires without offices. Sharon’s mysterious Cassidy 1st, Devon’s condo-based corporate headquarters, and Billy’s imaginary media empire are proving business is just coffee shop chatter in GC.
It’s All Business in Genoa City Without Office Space
It’s all business in Genoa City on Young & the Restless, but without office space & responsibilities. Unfortunately, the days of throwing chairs out of skyscraper windows are long gone. The Mustache & Smilin’ Jack Abbott are the lucky businessmen in Genoa City who still have offices, but they hardly report to them. So, what are all of the executives doing in Genoa City to earn their way? Let’s unpack their briefcases…
Cassidy 1st by Sharon Newman, but Not Inside Newman
Of all of Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) ex-wives, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is the only one to retain the Newman name, no matter who she has been married to between marriages to Nick. Perhaps it’s because she’s been married to all of the Newman men, including Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) & even Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Despite being a Newman, she doesn’t have Newman office space inside Newman Tower. Where are Sharon & her daughter Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) going when they go to the office? What do they do at said office? Regardless, it sounds like there’s a spot for Sharon’s new & most unlikely BFF Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).

The Winters, Inc. C-Suite Inside Nate Hastings Condo
Speaking of Winters, Inc., this company doesn’t have any office space either. Isn’t Devon best buds when it’s convenient for him with Victor Newman? If he had followed through on the partnership with Cassidy 1st, both Winters, Inc. & Cassidy 1st would have office space inside Newman Tower. Instead, most of their “high-level” meetings are held inside Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) condo across the hall from Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) condo. Do Young & the Restless fans see Lily’s condo? Nope. Not-so-much. Do Y&R fans see Devon’s home with his wife, Abby Winters (Melissa Ordway)? Nope. The Chancellor Estate hasn’t been seen by soap opera fans in months.
When Team Winters, Inc. isn’t meeting at Nate’s, they are at the GCAC, Society, or Crimson Lights, but what do they actually do? It seems Lily Winters’ full-time job is harassing Nate’s new half-brother, Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers), about Aristotle Dumas, who is as real on Y&R as Winters, Inc. office space. Lily has taken a cue from The Almighty Victor Newman & is beating a dead horse. If this Dumas guy could finally be revealed or be dumped from being mentioned, that would be great on Young & the Restless.
The Abbott Communications Launch That Won’t Happen
Billy Boy Abbott (Jason Thompson) has been going on & on & on about Abbott Communications, but hasn’t gotten a damn thing done except to get funding from his brother Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). He had a business partner, Phyllis Summers, but that got weird & now he has his new girlfriend, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). This will now go from weird to way-weird. Billy & Sally’s relationship is fresh. They haven’t said the ‘L’ word, & they don’t yet live together, but somehow they are going to work together full-time. Just like Sally’s job description, an office space for Abbott Communications does not exist. Billy Boy has been talking about his launch party for months & nothing has materialized. If anything needs launching, it’s Billy’s brain into reality.
Line 3 for Audra Charles, Reality is Calling for You…
Speaking of reality, Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) should check in with it as well. Her supposed new company, supposedly being funded by Victor Newman, also does not have office space. Why it wouldn’t be located inside Newman Tower is a mystery. What happened to Victoria Newman’s Brash ‘N’ Sassy cosmetics division? Shouldn’t there be room somewhere inside Newman for Audra’s new company that has almost zero chance of materializing, let alone being successful? One would think Victor would set her up with at least a small office space to keep an eye on her, but that would make sense & business is not making sense right now on Young & the Restless.
The Offices of Society, Crimson Lights, & the GCAC
The only businesses for sure not going out of business besides Newman Enterprises & Jabot are Society, Crimson Lights, & the Genoa City Athletic Club. With a record number of companies without office space, along with a record number of Genoa City residents living in a hotel, which happens to be the GCAC, these restaurants are booming with business.
Genoa City’s finest continue to do the least amount of work despite almost always talking about work. How long will it be before nothing turns into something on Young & the Restless?
