Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) has beaten the dead horse & then some. Her twin children with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), Mattie & Charlie, are pissed as hell about their father living a double life for the past six years. Sure, Cane’s lies aren’t the best, but he’s a freaking billionaire now. Why isn’t Cane spending some money on them? Why isn’t he taking him on an extravagant trip to reconnect with them?
Perhaps Mattie & Charlie don’t have the same affinity for train travel as their reinvented dad, Cane Ashby.
Wisconsin Summers with Big Bags & Jackets…
…doesn’t make sense, & neither did big bags & jackets in the South of France. So, Christel Khalil has to be pregnant in real life. Each new bag Lily Winters carries gets bigger & bigger, & she’s never without a jacket. Genoa City, Wisconsin summers are hot & humid. Lily is sticking out like a sore thumb right now. However, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) did wear a sheer turtleneck with kisses all over it the other day, so there’s that.
Lily Visits the Twins to Cope With Cane’s Money
Where better for Lily Winters to go than to California to be with Mattie & Charlie? They can spend time together & whine about how Cane Ashby became a billionaire in six years. However, what will be the point of Cane in Genoa City without Lily? Cane’s endgame is to get Lily back & she wants nothing to do with him. Yes, Cane also has ambitious business goals in Genoa City, but can anyone ever really beat The Almighty Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)? Cane’s most ambitious associate, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), already thinks The Mustache will be answering to her. Yeah, right.
The Cane Ashby Reboot, Chance Chancellor Long Gone
Was it worth it, Young & the Restless? Really???… Killing off Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) only to bring back Cane Ashby via one of the worst recasts in daytime soap opera history??… No offense personally, to Billy Flynn, but he isn’t Cane Ashby. He is way younger & could not be less Australian.
