A guilt-ridden ex-villain who openly fears losing his soul is hardly secret agent material, yet Victor Newman is betting his entire war on him.
Could Lily Winters or Phyllis Summers Blow the Operation Wide Open?
No, neither woman has caught on yet, and to be crystal clear, nothing close to an exposure has aired so far. But the danger is baked into this setup. Lily is glued to Cane‘s side as they rebuild Chancellor Industries together, which means every clumsy move from Matt Clark will happen steps away from one of the sharpest women in Genoa City. Then there is Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who just lost Newman Enterprises after Victor Newman admitted he fabricated the evidence against her. If anyone alive knows exactly how the mustache plays dirty, it is Phyllis, and she has every reason in the world to start digging.
What’s Next for Matt Clark and Cane Ashby?

He already proved he is capable of shocking choices when he pulled Nick back from the brink instead of letting him fade away. Either way, Victor Newman is gambling everything on the shakiest operative imaginable, and when this scheme finally blows, the shrapnel could hit everyone from the ranch to the Chancellor Industries boardroom. The reunion Lily and Cane have been slowly building since their New Year’s kiss might be the very first casualty, and Genoa City may never forgive the man who lit the match.
