NICK NEWMAN NEEDS PURPOSE, NOT A TITLE HE CAN’T KEEP

Once Victor finds out Victoria has been sleeping with Kyle, he is not going to want her running Newman Enterprises anymore, and that is going to leave an opening at the top. Adam Newman is the obvious answer. Instead, speculation is building that Victor and Nikki hand that opportunity to Nick Newman once he is out of rehab, treating it as a way to give him purpose and stability. History says that is exactly the wrong move. Nick has never actually been a corporate guy, and Adam, the son actually built for that world, risks getting passed over yet again.

Victor’s Trust in Victoria Is About to Break

Victor Newman finding out about Victoria and Kyle changes everything about who he trusts to run Newman Enterprises. Victoria set this whole situation in motion herself, and once her father learns the truth, her standing at the top of the company becomes very shaky, very fast. That leaves a real vacancy, and Victor is not the type to leave a leadership gap unfilled for long.

Once Nick Newman completes treatment, Victor and Nikki Newman may see that vacancy as the perfect opportunity to hand him something concrete to hold onto. Purpose matters in recovery, and giving Nick a role at Newman probably feels, to them, like the most obvious and loving thing they could offer. It comes from a good place. That does not make it the right move.

Adam Is the One Who Actually Fits This World

Adam Newman is the obvious choice to step into that opening. He thinks in strategy, has already proven himself in high-stakes corporate environments, and has been circling a return to the family business for a while now. He thrives under pressure and genuinely wants to run something, which is exactly what this vacancy calls for.

Nick Newman, meanwhile, has cycled in and out of Newman Enterprises more times than anyone can count, and it has never actually stuck. Handing him a title instead of Adam would repeat a pattern this exact family has struggled with for years, and giving Nick a C-suite role while Adam sits on the sidelines is not a strategic business decision. It is a parental instinct dressed up as one.

Purpose Does Not Have to Mean a Corner Office

Nick Newman genuinely needs something to hold onto as he rebuilds his life, that part is real. But purpose does not have to come in the form of a title he has never been able to keep before. Nick has an entrepreneurial streak that has shown up again and again outside of Newman Enterprises, and none of that requires him to sit behind a desk pretending corporate structure suits him.

The Same Mistake, One More Time

Victor and Nikki risk setting Nick up to fail by handing him a job that has broken down every single time it has been tried before, all while Adam, who actually wants this world and is good at it, gets skipped over once again. Good intentions do not automatically translate into good decisions, especially when the family keeps making the same one.

Do you think Nick ends up back at Newman, or does the family finally learn from this pattern? Sound off in the comments below.

A Title Nick Has Never Been Able to Hold

Victor and Nikki wanting to give Nick Newman purpose after rehab makes sense, but handing him a role at Newman Enterprises has never once worked out, and Adam remains the son actually suited for that world, especially once Victoria’s own standing collapses. Nick needs stability, not another title he cannot hold onto.
