Nick Newman Steps Away From Newman, Steps into GCPD
The GCPD doesn’t know yet, but they are hiring. Their lead detective, who didn’t have an office or a police department that Young & the Restless fans see, Chance Chancellor, is dead. Genoa City without a detective is about as bad as Genoa City without a doctor, which also happens to be the case right now.
Nick Newman is always bored at Newman & needs something new. Genoa City needs a doctor. What if??…
New GCPD Detective, Nick Newman
Detective Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) wasn’t the best detective in the land, but he didn’t deserve to be killed. Now, someone has to step in to help the Genoa City Police Department, & it may as well be Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Almost every time something goes down in & out of Genoa City on Young & the Restless, Nick Newman is involved anyway. He would be at least as great a detective as Chance Chancellor, if not much better. He’s tough, smart, & has good instincts.
Plus, with his siblings, Victoria Newman & Adam Newman (Amelia Heinle & Mark Grossman) getting along, he won’t be needed at Newman Enterprises.
Victoria & Adam Find Common Ground, Nick Out at NE
With Victoria & Adam being the lone Newmans holding down the fort in Genoa City, they have found common ground. Adam has actually been very kind & supportive towards Victoria & her daughter, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin), during Cole Howard’s (J. Eddie Peck) illness & eventual passing. Now they’re talking business & have found common ground. Adam has kept Victoria up to speed with Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) recent real estate transactions in Genoa City & they have agreed to work together to be prepared for what comes next. Nick Newman isn’t needed here & he won’t even mind.
How many times has Nick gone off to start something new & non-Newman related? The answer is many. Why not another time? This time, he can protect Genoa City.
The Icing on the Cake, Dr. Elena Dawson Returns
Memorial Hospital in Genoa City needs a doctor, & Young & the Restless fans need Dr. Elena Dawson portrayed by Brytni Sarpy. She hasn’t been killed off yet, so why not bring her back? There should be at least one reliable doctor in town. Also, Nick Newman could use a new love interest who isn’t a reboot or one of his baby mommas.
