NIKKI NEWMAN’S HEADACHES TOOK A TURN AT THE GCAC

TL;DR: On Friday, June 12, Young and the Restless gives us Nikki Newman’s headaches taking a worrying turn during her ugly showdown with Victor at the GCAC, plus Matt fan-girling over Cane in the worst possible way, Phyllis bonding with Sharon at Crimson Lights and reaching out to Summer, and Adam coaching Matt through his first contact mission.

Nikki Newman Could Barely Make the Stairs at the GCAC

Nikki Newman marched up to Victor’s table at the GCAC and asked if he was ordering special pillows for Matt. “Have you lost your damn mind?” Victor said who stays at the ranch is NONE of her damn business. He is keeping Matt Clarkwhere he can see him. Nikki told him he needs to hand the fugitive OVER. Victor explained he had the charges DROPPED. Reader. Nikki was APPALLED. Then she brought up Chancellor. How could he hand it to Lily without a WORD to her? “Simple. I did,” he said. Nikki realized he must have promised Chancellor to Lily LONG before she moved out.

Then Victor accused her of refusing to give up on Jack. Nikki accused him of hating Jack more than caring about HER. Then it happened. Nikki Newman got a HEADACHE. Victor asked if it was related to her MS. She did not want his PHONY concern. A second headache HIT. Victor offered to call a DOCTOR. Nikki said it was stress from everything he has put her through. He ordered her to her room to take a PILL. Nikki Newman walked out and could barely make it up the STAIRS. Reader, Y&R lit a fuse on this storyline and we are not RECOVERED.

Adam Coached Matt on the Cane Mission at the Ranch

Adam Newman reminded Matt of what was at STAKE and ordered him NOT to go off-script. Matt announced this CANNOT happen and the whole situation has CHANGED. Adam assumed he was threatening to be an ISSUE. Matt wondered why he was so HIGH-STRUNG. He remembers the things he did and is grateful he has a conscience NOW after having his brain rattled. Adam admitted going back to Vegas brought back a lot of his old FEELINGS too. He can see Matt is the OPPOSITE of who he used to be but his dad does NOT see it and wants this done. Matt agreed to give it a SHOT. Reader, two reformed Newman villains trying to navigate their consciences in real time is the MOST 2026 thing we have ever seen.

Matt Fan-Girled Over Cane Ashby at the Café

Cane Ashby arrived at the Chancellor Park Café. Adam introduced him to Matt. Adam said he wanted a FRIENDLY conversation and to smooth the WATERS. They need to find a way to CO-EXIST. Cane did NOT buy it. He assumed they were setting a TRAP and did not understand why Matt was there. They repeated he is a friend of the FAMILY.

Then Cane asked Matt if he was really Dumas. Reader. Matt FAN-GIRLED. He gushed about all Cane had done. He told him he was the MAN. He was sure Cane is a GENIUS right up there with Victor. He started gushing about Cane’s corporate PLANNING. Cane insisted Dumas was a MISTAKE. Matt did not BUY it and asked about the ways the media covered him. He rambled about how the smart people ADAPT. He offered to buy Cane a drink SOMETIME. Cane LAUGHED and walked off. Adam and Victoria Newman told Matt he came on a little STRONG. Reader, the most awkward first contact in Newman history is officially ON the books.

Phyllis Summers Bonded With Sharon at Crimson Lights

Sharon Newman was on the phone with Mariah Copeland when Phyllis Summers walked into Crimson Lights. Sharon gushed that Mariah is meeting with her team about a release next WEEK. Phyllis was HAPPY for her. Sharon talked about how Ian Ward pushed her daughter to the BRINK. Taking Dominic was her way of trying to find a CENTER. Reader, the women who used to throw drinks at each other are now COMPARING parental traumas and it is BEAUTIFUL.

Phyllis said Martin was their Ian Ward. He pushed them to the BRINK. They still have NIGHTMARES. They are bonded FOREVER. Sharon thinks it has made her a better PARENT and suggests it could do the same for Phyllis. Phyllis admitted it is hard to ADMIT Sharon is right. Then Phyllis went out to the patio and wrote a message to Summer Newman. She told her she gave Newman BACK. She knows why Summer is so ANGRY. She asked to have a CONVERSATION. Maybe Summer could come HOME for a bit. She wondered if Summer still thinks of her as her MOM. Reader, Phyllis is OFFICIALLY in her redemption ERA and we are EATING.

Victoria and Sally Talked Baby and Wedding at the Café

Victoria ran into Sally Spectra at the Chancellor Park Café BEFORE Matt and Adam arrived. They chatted about morning SICKNESS and how every pregnancy is DIFFERENT. Victoria hopes Sally is finding a way to ENJOY it. Sally asked if she could reach out to Billy and admit she was a little HARD on him.

Victoria did NOT think she was. She reminded Sally that half of Spectra-Charles was TAKEN from Newman Media. Billy and Sally benefited more from this nightmare than ANYONE else. Sally worried about the STRESS this could put on the kids. They discussed the wedding and Victoria urged her to go GRAND and ELEGANT. Reader.
