The Young and the Restless
Y&R CAMP CLASSIC! Patty Williams Is Operating Like a Romance Novel Heroine in a True-Crime Documentary
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Patty Williams declared herself the next Mrs. Jack Abbott. Diane Jenkins is missing. Do the math.

PATTY WILLIAMS IS ON A SELF-CORONATION TOUR AND SOMEBODY STOP HER
TL;DR: Patty Williams is back in Genoa City and she did not come to apologize. She walked into the Newman ranch this week, told Victor she is moving back for good, declared herself the next Mrs. Jack Abbott, and casually mentioned Diane Jenkins is “out of their way.” Diane has been missing for days. Patty had a Crimson Lights face-off with Phyllis Summers on Friday that ended with Phyllis suggesting Jack check the cat cafe for his wife. The wedding is not going to happen. The chaos absolutely is.
Sis Is on a Mission and the Mission Is Matrimony
Patty Williams is back in Genoa City, and bestie, she is not here to apologize or quietly rejoin the canvas. She announced this week, to Victor Newman of all people, that she is moving back for good, becoming one of Genoa City’s most prominent citizens, and will be the next Mrs. Jack Abbott. Victor laughed in her face. Nick called her delusional. Patty asked them if they had a deal anyway.
Sis is on a mission, the mission is matrimony, and Genoa City has seventy-two hours to remember the last time this woman wanted Jack Abbott, the body count was real.

Patty Came Back for Jack, Period
Let’s lay out the week. Monday, she sent Jack flowers. Tuesday, he threw them in the trash and called the gesture “too forward.” Patty, undeterred, told him she has changed, that she has a connection with him like Diane did, and that he would be “very surprised how this all works out.”
That is not flirtation. That is a wedding announcement with a delivery date.
Then she walked into the Newman ranch. The ranch. Where Victor Newman lives. And told the man whose daughter she once tried to kill that she is going to be the next Mrs. Jack Abbott. Victor chuckled. Nick said she was delusional. Patty Williams, calm as a hostage negotiator with all the leverage, asked if they had a deal.
She is operating on her own timeline, and the rest of town is along for the ride.
Now About Where Diane Went
Here is where the campaign tips from unhinged into criminal. Diane Jenkins has not been seen in days. She has missed meetings. She bailed on emails. Her bed at the club has not been slept in. She missed Harrison’s play.
Jack and Kyle stormed into Crimson Lights on Friday demanding to know what Patty did with her. Patty did not deny it so much as redirect, asking Jack if it might hurt to hear his wife wanted nothing to do with him. Then she said Diane was “out of their way.” OUT OF THEIR WAY. Like a chess piece she had already swept off the board.
That is a woman telegraphing the crime so confidently she expects to be applauded for the efficiency. Diane is missing. Patty has a wedding to plan. Genoa City, do the math.
The Phyllis Showdown Was the Cherry on Top
Friday’s Crimson Lights patio gave us the soapiest scene of the week. Phyllis Summers, the woman who knocked Matt Clark unconscious, tied him up, gagged him, then claimed she had developed romantic feelings for him to lure him back, came face to face with Patty, the woman currently sleeping with whoever has Matt in her basement.
They called each other indecent. Patty called Phyllis a “sacrificial lamb” handler. Phyllis told Patty she does not belong in Genoa City. Patty taunted Phyllis for handing “that poor man” to the Newmans. Two queens. One patio. Zero self-awareness between them.
Phyllis suggested Jack and Kyle check the cat cafe or the peanut butter aisle for Diane. The cat cafe. THE PEANUT BUTTER AISLE. Even the queen of unhinged knows where Patty parks her victims.
Patty Williams Is the Most Fun Y&R Has Been in Months
The writers have given Stacy Haiduk a season-long arc where her character believes she is the heroine of a romance novel while behaving like the villain in a true-crime documentary, and Y&R is BETTER for it.
Patty compared herself to Diane to Jack’s face. She tried to recruit Victor as her wedding hype man. She is sending Matt texts offering to “help” while orchestrating his entire kidnapping. She is in the middle of multiple federal crimes and treating each one like a quirky chapter in her memoir.
She is going to burn Genoa City to the ground, and the most chaotic part is that she will be wearing a wedding dress while she does it.
Jack Should Be Terrified, but Buckle Up
Jack threw the flowers away. He told Traci this delusion proves Patty is as far from rehabilitated as a person can get. He is right, and it will not save him. Once Patty Williams has decided who she is marrying, the entire town has historically ended up in the splash zone, and the last time she got this fixated, Colleen Carlton paid the ultimate price.
Diane is missing. Matt is in custody. Phyllis is unraveling. Victor is amused. And Patty is on a Crimson Lights stool with a Mrs. Jack Abbott shortlist half drafted. The wedding is not happening. The chaos absolutely is, on Young and the Restless.
