Patty Williams Pays Off a Maid With “Kink Roleplay” and Springs Matt Clark Off the Floor

Matt Clark wakes up on the carpet of his GCAC suite tied up, gagged, and screaming into his own muzzle. Down the hall, Patty Williams is gliding by. She hears him. She STOPS. She knocks. She rallies a maid with a master key. The maid takes one look at the situation, panics, and goes to call security. Patty waves her off, says it’s KINK ROLEPLAY, and slips her some cash. The maid takes the bribe and exits like she has seen things this week and would prefer to keep her plausible deniability intact. Reader. The MAID is a national treasure.

Patty ungags Matt. He gasps out one word. “Phyllis.” Patty Williams nods like a Boy Scout receiving a merit badge for “I told you so.” She informs him that Phyllis has been using him as a hostage and is capable of much worse than a water bottle to the back of the head. She tells him she wants to get to know him better and that she is the only friend he will ever need. Sir. RUN. The Diabolical Duo has officially assembled in the suite and Genoa City has no clue what walked through the door.

Phyllis Rushes Back to an Empty Suite With Nick on Her Heels

Mere minutes later, Phyllis comes barreling back into Matt’s room and clocks the absolute, soul-crushing, career-ending sight of an empty floor where her HOSTAGE used to be. Nick Newman is right behind her demanding to know what is happening. He guesses that Matt has escaped. He warns Phyllis to get used to the idea of a prison cell unless she finds him before the cops or security do.

Phyllis pivots like a champion and tells Nick that Patty Williams has befriended Matt and probably extracted him. They are BOTH lunatics, she clarifies, and Patty has an angle. Reader, Phyllis Summers is now in the position of explaining Patty Williams to the Newman heir while her own hostage situation evaporates around her. The IRONY. The DELICIOUSNESS. The chess board has been flipped, the queen is on the floor, and Patty is humming.

Nikki Marches Into the Newman Ranch and Tries to Build a United Front

Nikki Newman walks into the Newman Ranch and finds Victor Newman already glaring at her like she has personally wronged the cattle. She does not have time for a fight. They need to talk about their son. Nikki is APPALLED to learn Victor already knew about Nick’s addiction and did not tell her. She wants them to set the war aside and present a united front. Long enough, maybe, that the war can finally end.

Victor agrees to help his son. He REFUSES to apologize for hurting “Jackass Abbott.” Nikki tells him he is at the top of a list of people Victor has hurt and reminds him he has problems. Victor says he is fine on his own. Nikki stomps out. Reader, Victor’s emotional growth this episode is a flat line on a heart monitor. Bring the paddles.

Jack Tells Nikki at Society That Her Husband Hired Patty to Drug Him

Jack Abbott and his son Kyle Abbott are at Society when Nikki walks in fresh from getting nowhere with Victor. Kyle takes a call. Nikki sits with Jack and tells him Nick is a fentanyl addict. She blames herself. Her affliction has been passed down. Jack tells her she cannot do that to herself. They talk about how to help Nick.

Then Jack drops the bomb. He cornered Patty. She CONFIRMED that Victor paid her to drug him on that yacht. Victor. HER husband. Hired Patty to set Jack up so he could destroy Diane’s marriage. Nikki is disgusted. Reader, this is the moment Jack has been WAITING for. He did not have to say “leave him.” He only had to hand her the receipt.

Phyllis Demands the Deal in Writing at the Chancellor Park Café

Earlier in the day, before the great unraveling, Phyllis met Nick at the Chancellor Park Café and demanded to know exactly how he plans to get Christine Blair to drop the charges. He explained that bringing Matt down would be a feather in the DA’s cap. Phyllis demanded to know what Christine actually said. Nick promised her the DA would make the deal. Not good enough. She refuses to trust Nick. She wants the agreement in WRITING and sent to her lawyer.

Reader, Phyllis Summers, who fired her lawyer yesterday, would like the deal in writing and sent to her lawyer. Nick refuses to let her sabotage this over her feud with “Cricket.” They bicker. She storms off. He chases. Y&R writers, you are TOYING with us. This was BEFORE she came back to find Matt gone. The plot thickens, the suite empties, the WHIPLASH continues.

Billy and Cane Hash Out a Defense on the Cane Train

Billy Abbott drops by Cane Ashby‘s home to ask what Cane’s defense plan is for the AI email mess. Cane has not given it one second of thought because he is recovering from a stem cell harvest and his head is somewhere over the Hudson with Lily. Billy reminds him his name is also in those bogus emails. He is not LEAVING this without a plan.

Cane says there is nothing he can do. Billy disagrees. There may be a way to save them, but they have to work TOGETHER. Reader, the unlikeliest team-up in Genoa City has officially sat down for tea on the Cane Train, and the writers are clearly cooking a beef Wellington. Bring the cutlery.

Lily Calls Cane From New York With the Good News and Claire Buys Holden a Jacket

Up in New York, Lily Winters and Holden Novak return to his hotel suite with his mother Stephanie after Malcolm Winters‘ surgery, which went SMOOTHLY. They find champagne Malcolm sent up. They pop it. Lily calls Cane to give him the update and thank him for saving her father’s life AGAIN. Cane says it was an honor. Lily plans to stick around until Malcolm is released, which could take a month. Cane tells her Malcolm has insisted she go home. Lily and Stephanie tease Holden about Claire because that is what family does.

Then Claire Newman walks in with a vintage motorcycle jacket she bought Holden because she UNDERSTOOD the assignment. He puts it on. They KISS. Reader, the Winters family won the round, Holden has a jacket, and we are going to be OK. For one minute. Maybe two. Then we are back in Phyllis’s empty suite where a hostage walked out.
