Patty Williams Is Having the Time of Her Life

Patty Williams escaped a maximum security psychiatric facility and ended up alone on a yacht with Jack Abbott and she could not be happier about it. She tells him she is a changed woman. She cries. She asks him to open his heart. She tells him he looks good. She tells him he is still charming. Jack says “To you, never” and Patty locks him back in the cabin. She is absolutely fine.

When she returns with food and drinks, Jack refuses to touch any of it, which, fair. So Patty Williams tastes everything right in front of him. The single malt. Both glasses. The food. She is not doing this to be helpful. She is doing this because it means she gets to sit across from Jack Abbott for as long as the meal lasts and she is going to stretch every second.

Jack tells her he could find his way to forgiving her but he needs her to get him to shore. Patty Williams smiles and tells him that is not her call. Victor Newman is running this. Patty Williams is just the luckiest woman on the ocean.

Phyllis Summers Walks Into the Lion’s Den

While Jack is locked in a cabin being told he looks incredible by the woman Victor Newman personally handpicked for this job, Phyllis Summers is at the Newman ranch toasting with Victor. “To our future,” she says. Brave. Unhinged. Completely on brand.

She tells Victor she owns Chancellor, not Billy Abbott. If there is going to be a negotiation, it runs through her. Victor tells her this is not a negotiation. It is a demand. Phyllis does not flinch. She offers him Chancellor in exchange for Jack, Lily Winters, and the twins. Victor laughs and asks what is in this for her. Phyllis tells him she wants her children to think she has a heart. Victor gives her one hour to draw up the papers.

Over at Society, Kyle Abbott and Diane Jenkins are watching Billy stare at his phone. He texted Victor offering Chancellor for proof of life. He got it. An unknown number. A photo of Jack unconscious. “Your move.” The clock is running and Phyllis Summers is holding every card, which in Genoa City is either the best news or the worst news depending on the day.

Meanwhile at the GCAC

Adam Newman and Chelsea Lawson are at the Grand Chancellor Athletic Club, unemployed and too upset to eat. Everything they built is gone. Adam cannot believe Phyllis and Billy outmaneuvered his father. Chelsea is starting to wonder if Victor can actually pull this back. They joke about returning to their con artist roots. Adam suggests cardsharp. Chelsea volunteers con woman. They toast to having each other and remind themselves Connor still has their love even if everything else is gone. It is the warmest moment in an ice-cold episode and it will not last.

Patty Williams told Jack Abbott she is not the one in charge on today’s Canadian Day-Ahead episode of The Young and the Restless. Victor Newman is pulling every string on that yacht and everyone in Genoa City is scrambling to get Jack back before he decides the deal is off. Who gets to Jack first and is anyone else a little concerned Patty Williams is enjoying this way too much? Sound off below!
