Here’s where Phyllis gets clever. She’s not framing this as blackmail. Oh no. She’s framing it as protecting “the kids.”

Think about it. Jack talks constantly about family legacy. Billy just launched Abbott Communications and needs tangible assets to make it legitimate. Kyle Abbott has deep ties to Marchetti. Harrison could one day inherit pieces of this empire.

So Phyllis stands there and basically says: give my daughter her company, or admit you’re terrible family men.

It’s a trap. A beautifully constructed trap.

Given Jack’s history with Phyllis, there’s almost zero chance he agrees without extracting some kind of insurance policy. But what could he possibly demand that would make him feel safe? Phyllis doesn’t do “safe.”

This likely leads to a fracture between the Abbott brothers. Billy wants to deal. Jack wants to freeze Phyllis out. And somewhere in Italy, Summer Newman has no idea her mother is waging war on her behalf.

One thing’s certain. Phyllis isn’t backing down. She told them she might not be available later if they delay too long. That’s not a warning. That’s a countdown.
