Cane Ashby Trapped Phyllis Summers on His Train and That Door Is Not Opening
The episode ends with Phyllis Summers trying to leave Cane Ashby‘s train and finding a tall man blocking the exit. Cane looked at her and told her he expects to get what he wants. That is not a negotiation. That is a hostage situation on The Young and the Restless.
Leading up to this, Cane played the gentleman. He told Phyllis he admired her. He told her he understood her. He claimed he was not angry about everything she had done. She did not buy it for a second. Phyllis accused him of trying to get her into bed to turn the tables on her, and Cane’s response was to tell her she was the only one who could turn things around for him. When she refused and tried to walk away, the door was blocked. Whatever Cane wants from Phyllis, he is not asking anymore. He called Amanda earlier and told her getting Newman back is impossible but to keep working on “their other plan.” That plan apparently involves Phyllis Summers locked on a train with nowhere to go.
Devon Winters had already confronted Cane before Phyllis Summers arrived, demanding to know where Lily Winters and the kids were. Cane would not give him a single answer. He said he was doing everything he could and that saying anything could put them in more danger. Devon threatened to rain hell down on him if anything happened to his family and stormed out. Cane is running out of allies, running out of options, and running out of patience. And Phyllis is the one paying the price.

Matt Clark Is Free and Sending Horrifying Texts to Noah Newman
Noah Newman was at Chancellor Park having the best day of his life. Sienna surprised him. She packed warm clothes. She told him LA is her past and she belongs with him. They kissed. And then his phone buzzed with a text from an unknown number. A riddle. Then another message. “You will end up in hell soon.”
Sienna grabbed the phone and confirmed what Noah already feared. The texts are from Matt Clark. He is free. He is not done with them. And he knows exactly where they are. Every Newman who stood in that room and told Matt it was over has to reckon with the fact that he is now on the loose, texting death threats like a man with absolutely nothing left to lose. Because that is exactly what Matt Clark is. And a man with nothing to lose is the most dangerous person alive.
Nick Newman Is Spiraling and Nobody Can Stop Him
Nick Newman is in bad shape. Victor Newman can see the pain his son is in. Nikki Newman told Victor the pills do not seem to be helping. And Nick is not listening to anyone. He screamed at his father that they cannot rely on the courts or the cops, that this is going to end, and that he is going to be the one who ends it. Then he stormed out of the ranch without saying goodbye to his mother.
He stumbled into Crimson Lights, laid into Phyllis about Newman, and after she left, told Sharon Newman that Matt is back. His exact words: “I’m gonna put his ass in the ground. This time, Matt is the target.” Sharon could see how much pain he was in. The pills are not working or he is taking too many of them or both. Nick Newman is a lit match walking toward gasoline, and nobody around him has figured out how to stop the explosion.
Sharon Was Actually Getting Through to Phyllis and Nick Destroyed It
Here is the gut punch nobody expected. Sharon was making progress with Phyllis. She told her their bond was real. She told Phyllis she understood rage because of Matt. She told her they wanted the same things. Phyllis was actually listening. She even admitted that life was easier when she hated Sharon and that being friends was irritating, which is Phyllis-speak for “you are right and I do not want to admit it.” Sharon was this close to breaking through.
Then Nick stumbled in, started screaming at Phyllis about Newman, and Phyllis declared she would not relinquish anything. They could kiss her ring or get out of the way. Sharon told Nick she was making progress before he walked in. He did not care. He had bigger things on his mind. And now Phyllis is on Cane’s train with a locked door and whatever goodwill Sharon built is gone.
Matt Clark is sending death threats, Phyllis is trapped on a train, and Nick is spiraling. Which Young and the Restless story has you losing it? Sound off and share this with every Y&R fan you know!
