PHYLLIS SUMMERS AND CANE ASHBY ARE AT WAR ON YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

TL;DR: Phyllis Summers is poking the bear on Young and the Restless Friday, December 12. She’s pushing Cane’s buttons, Nate confides in Lily, and Nick protects Sharon. Genoa City is ON FIRE!

Phyllis Summers Comes for Cane Ashby

Well, well, well… looks like Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) just can’t help herself! After Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) discovered that Phyllis STOLE his softwareโ€”even though she never actually admitted itโ€”these two are officially on a collision course. And Friday’s Young and the Restless is bringing the HEAT.

Let’s rewind for a second. Phyllis and Cane had their little situationship going on, complete with sleepovers and whatever else these two were up to when they weren’t scheming. But then Cane figured out that Phyllis helped herself to his proprietary software, and suddenly those cozy nights were OVER. Did Phyllis admit to it? Of course not. This is Phyllis Summers we’re talking aboutโ€”the woman has never admitted to anything in her life. But Cane got his confirmation, and now he’s made it crystal clear that there’s no Phyllis in his future, now or ever.

So what does Phyllis do when a man rejects her? She makes his life a living NIGHTMARE, obviously. Friday’s Young and the Restless shows Phyllis pushing Cane’s buttons, and knowing her, she’s not just going to pokeโ€”she’s going to JAB. This woman went from sharing a bed with Cane to becoming his worst enemy in record time, and we’re HERE for this level of pettiness. What will she target? His business? His reputation? His reconnection with Lily? Knowing Phyllis Summers, probably ALL of the above.

Nate Hastings Confides in Lily Winters

Meanwhile, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) needs someone to talk to, and he’s turning to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). These two have had their ups and downsโ€”remember when Nate betrayed the family and everyone wanted to disown him?โ€”but blood is blood, and it looks like Nate has something weighing on him.

Is this about Audra Charles and her deal with Holden? His career? Some secret about to blow up? Young and the Restless fans know that when Nate gets confessional, DRAMA follows. And Lily has her OWN messโ€”she just agreed to let Cane be her plus-one to the Abbott Communications launch party after he sweet-talked her about her “beautiful laugh.” So now she’s got her ex trying to worm back in AND her cousin needing emotional support. The Winters-Hastings reunions must be exhausting.

Nick Newman Takes Matters Into His Own Hands

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is DONE waiting around. With Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) still dealing with the Matt Clark nightmareโ€”the psycho who kidnapped Noah and terrorized her for weeksโ€”Nick is stepping up BIG on Friday’s Y&R. The spoilers say he’s “taking matters into his own hands to protect Sharon,” and we know what that means. Nick Newman is about to do something BOLD.

Is he going after Matt Clark directly? Confronting Sienna about her intentions? Making sure Sharon has protection? Whatever it is, Nick in protective mode is the content we NEED. Sharon has been through the wringer, and it’s about time someone stepped up. Nick and Sharon have been through everything together, and even though they’re not romantically involved right now, that bond is UNBREAKABLE. When Sharon’s in trouble, Nick shows up. Period.
