THURSDAY Y&R DAY-AHEAD! YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS SPOILERS SEND PHYLLIS SUMMERS STRAIGHT AT VICTOR NEWMAN

TL;DR: Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, August 27 hand Phyllis Summers a missing boyfriend and a stone wall named Victor Newman. Kyle Abbott and Victoria Newman stop pretending at Jabot, and Lily Winters dares Billy Abbott to earn Chancellor.

Young and the Restless Spoilers Send Phyllis Summers After Victor Newman

Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, August 27 open on the worst morning Phyllis Summers has had in months. Matt Clark is gone. No note, no call, nobody at Arabesque who can tell her a thing. Phyllis is not the kind of woman who talks herself into a comfortable lie, and she knows exactly which family in this town makes people vanish without a trace.

She goes straight to the Genoa City Athletic Club and finds Adam Newman holding court with Cane Ashby. Phyllis wants one answer out of him and she is past the point of asking nicely. Adam swears he has no idea where Matt Clark is, and then he cannot help himself, mocking her for falling for a man like that in the first place. She walks out with nothing but a bruise on her pride and a much shorter list of suspects.

Then she goes to the man himself. Victor Newman lets Phyllis rage across the room and hands her absolutely nothing in return. No real denial, no admission, just that flat Newman calm that has ended careers and marriages all over this city. He keeps a tight lid on what he did and she leaves no wiser than she arrived. For more Genoa City scoop, the temperature in this particular feud broke long before Thursday morning.

Young and the Restless Spoilers Put Kyle Abbott and Victoria Newman Behind a Closed Door

Across town, Kyle Abbott and Victoria Newman meet in the executive office at Jabot to talk strategy. The plan on paper is to revive the old Jabot versus Vibrante rivalry and let the press chew on it for a month. What they get instead is a heated argument, a drink neither of them needed, and a door that stays firmly shut. Two people who have spent months circling each other finally stop pretending they are only talking about business.

Diane Jenkins Abbott is already suspicious of Kyle Abbott’s new game plan, and she does not have half the picture yet. Watch her in these scenes. Nobody at Jabot reads a room faster, and nobody is worse at leaving a hunch alone once it lands.

What Did Victor Newman Do With Matt Clark?

Victor Newman had Matt Clark committed to a maximum security psychiatric ward. That is the entire answer, and Phyllis does not have a piece of it yet. Victor warned Matt Clark plainly that breaking their agreement would put him behind locked doors, and the moment Matt went his own way, Victor made good on the threat without a second thought. Here is the part nobody else has lined up. Twenty four hours before Phyllis started knocking on doors, Victor was already promising that Matt Clark was on the way out.

My gut tells me this backfires faster than Victor expects. A locked ward is not a grave, and Matt Clark has spent the better part of a year surviving things that should have finished him twice over. Don’t be surprised if the first call out of that place lands with Phyllis, with Victor’s name attached to every word of it.

Young and the Restless Spoilers Hand Lily Winters a Chancellor Ultimatum

The Chancellor fight gets its own turn on Thursday. Lily Winters puts it to Billy Abbott as plainly as it can be put. Prove you deserve this, and prove you can protect what it stands for. Billy has wanted a real seat at that table for as long as anybody can remember, and he has never once been asked to earn it out loud, in front of people, with the receipts on the table. Lily just did the asking.

Victor Newman Just Handed Phyllis Summers a Reason to Ruin Him

Victor thinks he solved a problem. What he actually did was hand the most relentless woman in Genoa City a cause, and Phyllis has burned down bigger things than a Newman for smaller reasons than this. She will find out. She always finds out, and the fallout is never proportional.

Two outcomes are sitting on the table. Either Victor’s silence holds long enough for him to control the story, or Phyllis gets one crack in that wall and pulls the whole thing down on top of him. I know which one I am betting on. Come argue the other side with us over on our Facebook page.
