Sienna Bacall Stumbles In With a Story Nobody Should Be Buying

Let us paint the scene. The garage just exploded. Nick Newman is back at the hotel on tainted drugs, head splitting, finally admitting out loud that he needs help. Sharon Newman is glued to his side. Noah Newman is talked out of going after Sienna Bacall. Adam Newman and Chelsea Lawson finally exhale. The room is finally calm.

In walks Sienna. Spattered in blood. Calm as anything. She drops the line.

“He’s dead. I killed him.”

Excuse us. Where is the body? Why is she here and not at the scene? Why did she run from Victor’s men twice today and now show up gift wrapping the Matt Clark problem the Newmans have been chasing for months? Billy Abbott Pulls a Ring Out From Under Sally Spectra

Across town, Billy Abbott is in full romantic cheeseball mode. Sally Spectra called him exactly that. He has food prepped. A rose appears mid kiss. He is buying her tea like it is a love language. Billy Abbott has been dialing this up all day and Sally is finally letting herself enjoy it.

They talk about how much space a baby takes up in your head. Billy admits he is happy and terrified and convinced she is going to be an amazing mother. Sally says it is like having a heart outside your body. They cry. They kiss. They drink sparkling cider and toast the baby. They talk baby names and tease each other about hyphenation.

Then Billy reaches under Sally, pulls out a ring box, and proposes.

The man hid a ring under his pregnant girlfriend on the bed. Billy Abbott is unwell. We love him for it.

Cane Ashby Finally Gets a Hug From a Winters

Over at Society, Cane Ashby is sitting with Lily Winters, Holden Novak, and Stephanie Simmons drinking to Malcolm Winters being on the path to recovery thanks to Cane’s stem cells. Cane gets to be on the call. Cane hears the kids. Cane is processing his entire life arc in real time at a restaurant table.

Stephanie tells Cane he is a good person, hugs him, and tells him her parents would be proud of Lily. The man almost dissolves. Then he and Lily are alone, and Lily looks at him and tells him she does not see Dumas in his eyes anymore. She sees Cane. She kisses his cheek before leaving.

This was the cleanest emotional beat Cane Ashby has been handed in two years and the man earned every second of it. Holden noting that there must be “something else going on” for the stem cell match to make sense is the loaded line that nobody can ignore. The Winters family has a secret nobody is ready for.
