TL;DR: On April 29’s The Young and the Restless, Victor Newman’s team races to save Sharon, Noah, Nick and Adam from Matt Clark’s burning Vegas gas station after Chelsea Lawson’s frantic call. Sienna Bacall claims she killed Matt.

How Did Matt Clark Trap All Four Newmans At Once?

Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) spent months building this trap and it almost worked. He kidnapped Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) on April 10, fed his addiction with pill after pill, and used his stolen phone to lure Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) to a remote Vegas gas station. He chained them up and waited. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) followed right behind with a drugged-up Nick, walking straight into the same trap.

By Monday’s cliffhanger, all four Newmans were inside that abandoned gas station. Sharon and Noah chained to a pipe. Nick collapsed unconscious from a tainted batch of fentanyl. Adam trying to drag his brother to safety while Matt watched from his car on hidden cameras, sneering about the bad batch finally taking down the rich boy.

Does Chelsea Lawson Save Them With One Phone Call?

Yes, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is the reason any of them are still breathing. After Riza Thomson (Tina Casciani) flips for $500,000 and gives up the gas station coordinates, Chelsea dials the one man with the resources to act in seconds. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) doesn’t even ask twice. He says, “Send me the coordinates.”

That single call shifts the entire night. Victor mobilizes his private security team and sends them tearing through the desert while Matt flips through the detonator screen on his phone. Reading between the lines, this might be the most important thing Chelsea has ever done for the Newman family.

Will Sienna Bacall Stop Matt Before He Detonates?

No, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) does everything she can but Matt Clark hits the button anyway. Sienna drives into the desert, spots Matt’s parked car, and gets in. Then she does the unthinkable. She offers herself up. Her life for the four Newmans inside.

Matt doesn’t blink. He looks his estranged wife dead in the eye and presses the detonator. The gas station erupts in flames with SharonNoahNick and Adam still trapped inside.

Does Victor Newman’s Team Pull Them Out Of The Fire?

Yes, spoilers indicate Victor’s team arrives in time to drag all four Newmans out of the inferno. According to the day-ahead spoilers, Adam reunites with Chelsea at the Vegas hotel and tells her, “Victor’s team showed up.” He thanks Chelsea for making the call. SharonNoah, and Nick all survive, though Nick is in rough shape after the overdose and the smoke.

Victor Newman never sets foot in Vegas himself. He’s at the Newman ranch in Genoa City the whole time, deep in his war with Phyllis. But his money and his ruthless instincts are why four of his children walk out alive.

What Happens To Matt Clark After The Explosion?

Here’s where it gets wild. Sienna shows up at the Vegas hotel suite later that night with torn clothes and blood splattered across her. She looks Chelsea dead in the face and says, “I killed Matt.” Whether she really finished Matt Clark off is the question hanging over Wednesday’s episode. Given Matt’s history of cheating death, my gut tells me this isn’t the last we’ve seen of him.

What’s Next For The Newman Family?

Could this mean a full Newman family reunion is coming? Don’t be surprised if Nick’s brush with death finally forces him to confront his addiction, with Adam demanding he get clean. Given Victor’s history of using crisis to consolidate power, this rescue could also become his reason to drag Nikki back to the ranch and patch their fractured marriage. And after saving four Newmans with one phone call, Chelsea just earned a permanent seat at the Newman family table whether Victor likes it or not.
