First off, there’s been quite a bit of turmoil in the Newman camp. We aren’t even talking about Adam Newman (played by Mark Grossman), who usually stirs the pot. This time, there’s another player in the game.

“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers: A Victor-ious Return?

It’s somewhat amusing, if not surprising, how Victor Newman (portrayed by Eric Braeden) often thinks the best way to solve issues is by stepping right into the center of them. This time, he’s taking a more hands-on approach with his business, sidelining Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to the position of his COO.

Why? Well, Victor’s recent strategies seem to have backfired, and he feels it’s time to grip his empire’s reins tighter. But while he might be tightening his hold on the business, he’s also squeezing the ambitions of Victoria. She isn’t one to be sidelined easily. With her impressive track record, she’s poised to show that Victor isn’t the only Newman capable of steering the ship.

In fact, some may argue Victoria might be better off taking a page from Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) book and venturing out on her own. But, as they say, like father, like daughter. She seems too headstrong to bow out.

“The Young and the Restless” Spoilers: A Protective Mother

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is ready to fight. The maternal instincts have kicked in, and she’s in full protective mode. It seems she’s having a hard time believing Adam has turned a new leaf. Given his history, who could blame her? But her threats to Adam are anything but idle. She’s even issued an ultimatum – abandon his scheme within 24 hours, or face her wrath.

The consequence? A tight spot for Victor. His son’s determination and his wife’s protectiveness are bound to increase his troubles. Victor’s constant meddling in the affairs of his loved ones has mostly led to complications. One can only wonder if he’ll ever learn the beauty of a hands-off approach.
