TL;DR: Traci Abbott sat Diane Jenkins down on The Young and the Restless Tuesday and reminded her that she faked her own death, convinced Jack and Kyle she was gone, and still won her family back. So maybe she could show Jack some grace. Diane admitted Traci was not wrong but slammed the door in Nikki Newman’s face ten minutes later. Meanwhile, Holden Novak tells Cane Ashby that Lily Winters is his half sister, Audra is eavesdropping and jealous, and Victoria Newman defends Victor to anyone who will listen.

You Faked Your Own Death, Diane

Traci Abbott did not come to coddle. She did not come to hold hands and nod sympathetically while Diane Jenkinsspiraled. She came with receipts.

Diane showed up at the Abbott estate claiming she was only there to collect some of her things. Kyle Abbott and Traci were not buying it. They pushed her to stay and talk to Jack Abbott. Traci told her that Jack is sick with regret and desperate for a chance. Diane did not want to hear about Jack’s feelings. She wanted to know where his love was when he was in bed with “that nasty woman.”

And that is when Traci Abbott dropped the hammer.

She reminded Diane Jenkins that she faked her own death. She convinced Jack and Kyle that she was gone. She put them through years of grief. And then she came back and won her family back. Every bit of it. So maybe, just maybe, she could show Jack some grace here.

Diane had nothing to say to that. Because Traci Abbott was not wrong and they both knew it.

Here is what makes Diane Jenkins so fascinating right now. She admitted Traci was right. She said she should be able to cut Jack some slack. But her heart will not let her. Kyle told her to start by telling Jack that. She said she would give anything to go back to the way things were.

And then Nikki Newman showed up at the door wanting to help, and Diane slammed it in her face.

Nikki tried to explain that Jack was drugged by her “unconscionable father.” Diane was sick of everyone acting like Jack is a victim. She asked Nikki why she and Jack have such an unhealthy need to fix each other’s lives. And then she shut the door. Hard.

Diane Jenkins knows Traci Abbott is right. She knows Jack was drugged. She knows Victor Newman orchestrated the entire thing. And she still cannot get past the image of Jack and Patty Williams together. That is not stubbornness. That is a woman whose heart is broken in a place logic cannot reach.

Victoria Newman Will Defend Her Father Until the Sun Burns Out

Over at Society, Nikki was railing to Victoria Newman about Victor refusing to admit he was wrong. Victoria’s response? What happened was on Jack. Besides, daddy’s plan worked, so it is okay.

Nikki did not agree. At all. She told Victoria that what Victor did was inhumane. Victoria told her mother that her father is off balance and desperate and terrified of losing everything. Nikki loves Victor but she has never been this angry, and she warned her daughter that this time they might not find their way back.

When Kyle walked in, he and Victoria immediately started going at each other about the endless war between their families. Victoria told him to try seeing things from Victor’s perspective. “Are you for real right now?” he asked. She asked him to show her father some empathy. These two families are never going to stop and we are never going to stop watching.

Holden Novak Drops the News on Cane Ashby

Holden Novak ran into Cane Ashby at the Chancellor Park Café and told him the truth: Lily Winters is his half sister. Malcolm Winters is his father. His mother kept it a secret for his entire life. Cane was stunned but thanked him for sharing.

Of course, Audra Charles was lurking nearby because Audra is always lurking nearby. She admitted to eavesdropping and then lectured Holden for confiding in Claire instead of her. She accused him of baring his soul to “that little twit” so she would invite him into bed. Holden told her their past at The Shadow Room is the last thing on his mind. Audra does not handle being irrelevant well and it showed.

Meanwhile, Cane cornered Lily at the GCAC wanting answers. He admitted he is angry at her but cannot imagine life without her. He offered to be there for whatever she needs. She threw Phyllis in his face and walked off to take a call from their son. Stephanie Simmons also spoke with Lily about finding a donor for Malcolm and admitted that keeping Holden a secret was a mistake. The lies have caught up to her, and she hopes Lily will not hold any of it against Holden.
